Dr. Anthony Fitzgerald Gomes, MD

Dr. Gomes is a very patient, caring doctor. He answered any of the questions I had regarding my daughters condition at the time thoroughly. He spent more than 15 to 20 minutes in the room without rushing. Also, he is very good with young patients making them feel welcome and comfortable which is a very important trait in my opinion. The staff is friendly and the hours are convenient as well. I highly recommend Dr. Gomes.

Now, my daughter doesn't get sick as often. Yet, the first four years of her life, she was in the doctor's office more times than I care to remember. Dr. Gomes always takes his time with her. He takes time to greet her and make sure sure that she is comfortable before he examines her. He also makes sure that I understand the treatment plan and he answers all of my many questions. When she needs a specialist, he and his staff make sure that I have the information that I need. One time, he used his personal cell phone to call a specialist because he wanted my daughter to be seen by the specialist that very day. He called and she was in the specialist's office within a few hours. What I find most impressive is that when Dr. Gomes is discussing a current situation, he will support his decision based on my daughter's total physical condition. That tells me that he read the chart BEFORE entering the room and that at this moment, he is focused on my daughter and what is best for her.… To me that is very important.

Our experience was terrible. He was running almost two hours behind schedule and when he did come in, he was so impersonal with the children (strange for a pediatrician), rude, and condescending. We will never go back.

Dr. Gomes has been my doctor since I was born and had my first regular check-up. I'm going to be so sad when I'm unable to use him as my primary physician as I'm almost too old. I've been in a bad accident, where I've dealt with a lot of doctors, all of which seem to lack in patient skills or knowledge. Dr. Gomes, however, cares about each patient individually, has the greatest manner, never rushes through a visit, always a thourogh and accurate diagnosis. He is the best physician I've even encountered. I give him 5/4 stars.

My sons (ages 16 & 11) have been going to Dr. Gomes for the last 15 years. My oldest went to a different pediatrician which kept misdiagnosing him for 5 years. A friend told me about Dr. Gomes, and after diagnosing my son with allergies, he's been visit free except for check ups and physicals. Dr. Gomes is also my 11 yr old's Dr., and was there for him since his birth. He was premature by 3 months and Dr. Gomes took such good care of him and still does.
