I like him and I trust him.

Dr. Chu is an excellent physician; very personable, professional and answered a multitude of questions concerning my condition in cogent, concise manner. Upon reviewing recent tests, he called to allay anxiety and provided a great plan for continued health in a timely manner. Staff was equally professional and courteous.

Dr. Chu offers a highly unusual yoking of expertise with compassion and friendliness. He listens, he explains. There are any number of doctors in New England capable of offering cardiac ablation, but my consultations with him and my intuition told me I'd found the right person.I have not been disappointed.

Outstanding physician, superb surgeon. Dr. Chu's surgical incision closure was better than my plastic surgeon!

Let me tell you how Dr. Chu saved me from catastrophe. I was seen by a number of doctors in the emergency room for atrial fibrillation. I thought I knew my symptoms so the docs who saw me were going to "reset" my heart with a procedure called a cardioversion. I had not been on a blood thinner and just before I was going to have my heart reset, Dr. Chu stopped them and insisted that they take a closer look by ultrasound inside my heart for a blood clot. I have to say that I was annoyed at first since every other doctor who had seen me including a number of heart specialist doctors insisted I did not need anymore studies before cardioversion. They held off on the cardioversion at Dr. Chu's insistence and checked my heart by ultrasound - sure enough I had a blood clot in my heart! If I had gotten the cardioversion, they tell me that I would have had a very high chance of having a piece of the clot dislodge and cause a stroke! Dr. Chu was the only doctor who insisted that this test be… done and he saved me from a stroke! I thanked him afterwards and even apologized as I was definitely irritated with his recommendation at the time as I thought it was going to slow me down. In the end, I realized that a great doctor isn't afraid to stand up for what they believe even if it's inconvenient unpopular. Dr. chu was the only doctor who told me to get the ultrasound and I am so thankful I did! If you are looking for a doc who will do the best for you, even if it's not what you want to hear, Dr. Chu is the doc you want! Especially in today's healthcare scene where everyone is just checking off boxes...!!

Dr. Chu is an extremely gifted physician. He tells things like they are and is uncompromising in the standard of care that he delivers. I have read some of the other comments here and some patients don't want to hear what he is saying. He has taken care of several of my family members, some of whom are physicians, and done a fantastic job.

Dr. Chu is an excellent doctor. I have been to several cardiologists throughout RI and only Dr. Chu could diagnose my arrhythmia. He spent a lot of time explaining things to me and discussing my medications. I felt so much better after I saw him! I can't imagine a better doctor.
