When a physician tells me twice that she (or he) is way behind schedule and has other patients to see and terminates with “I want to go back to Canada,” well, I want her to go where she is happy. As she spent most of the initial meeting with explanations of conditions that I have had for 20-30 years well, it is no wonder why she was behind schedule. When she explained to me in detail why a medication I use sparingly for pre flight anxiety for 20 years may be addictive well, thanks but I don’t think that I am quite yet an addict in need of psychiatric counseling. I was duly impressed that she was a pharmacist PhD and an MD who practiced in Canada and was twice impressed when she retold me of this scholastic achievement. I was less than impressed when she twice informed me that she would ask the questions and that I should wait my proper turn to ask my insignificant inquiries. I wish her well with her Canadian clients but I am not sure that her Sparks, NV approach is always well… received.
