Excellent MD. He’s direct, extremely knowledgeable and confident which some might have misread as arrogant. I find him not only thorough but attentive and empathetic. He takes his time with you and answers all your questions. It helps to write your questions down beforehand. I find myself judging other doctors by his standard and they all fall short.

Dr Simonian came highly recommended to me by a good friend whom he helped solve her medical mystery. He came in on a Saturday a day he was off just to fit me in. I am so grateful for his compassion and skill set. Truly an outstanding trustworthy physician.

Dr Simonian is incredibly rude, narrow minded and impatient. He is so full of himself --he has no patience, no empathy and unwilling to listen to his patient or even other professionals. Extremely opinionated and thinks nothing of barking commands at a patient. I have many medical professionals as friends and none of them would treat someone/ anyone as he does. They advised me to find a new specialist and I certainly did. I may have to drive a few hours for the care and experience I need, but it is well worth it. No patient deserves to be treated so poorly and with so little respect. Thank you Dr. Simonian for forcing me to find a truly dedicated and kind specialist and as it turns out, someone who knows more about my health issue and who is open to learning from the patient. Dr Simonian is so ego driven that he thinks bullying patients makes him look special when in fact you leave his office wondering if that behavior is covering up a lack of self-confidence or knowledge in his… field. He certainly was off course with my issues as i quickly learned on my initial phone call to my current doctor. A doctor who was willing to speak to me to give me a short synopsis of his experience with my health issue and I could see both brilliance and kindness in this man even before i met him. When i arrived at my appointment this amazing man had a team! of professionals ready to work with me and literally hours of time to listen to me and my family and to explain thoroughly how we would work together to solve or at least control my issues --and as it turned out, my current doctors are way ahead of Dr S in experience and knowledge of my issue. Dr S was so harsh, demeaning and arrogant that he drove me away from Capital Health. As their Director of Gastroenterology, his toxic attitude would certainly affect the other doctors on his team. My life is in my doctors' hands and they should be capable hands that offer kindness, a willingness to listen and respect--as well as thorough experience with my problems...unfortunately, Dr Simonian's hands offer nothing but arrogance and bullying behavior.

Dr. Simonian is an excellent gastroenterologist and really listens and helps his patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Simonian's for 15 years. I have unfortunately had a myriad of gastro problems. He has always been nothing but professional.He has been the most caring doctor. He is on top of every recent development in his field. Dr. Simonian has made sure that I received the best of care.My husband and both of our daughters have chosen to go to Dr. Simonian because of the type of man he is.....kind, compassionate,down-to-earth, understanding and willing to explain and listen(a wonderful combination).

Arrogant and belittling.

I was admitted for abdominal pain in thehospital.He was the consultant on the case.I never met such an arrogant doctor. because of his attitude i neverwant to go back to his clinic or the same hospital.He is very mean also.I Never recommend anybody to see that doctor.
