Dr. Barry Sanford Landfield, MD

My family have known Dr.Landfield for many years.In addition to being an excellent physician , he is also a very nice person.In reception , there is the wonderful, kind and efficient Aurelia , who goes out of her way to help patients.I can't speak highly enough about this practice.

I am a patient of Dr. Landfield of many years.He is caring, concerned of my wellbeing, and I have complete trust of the treatments received from Him. His interest in His patients goes beyond the symptoms,but the causes from it also .I am thankfull of His dedication.

One of the worst doctors offices I’ve ever been to in my life!!!! The front desk women are HORRIBLY RUDE and LACK compassion and sensitivity as does Dr. Landfield. I came in for a terrible bladder infection and they told me I had to sit and wait over an hour for results when the dip stick test takes 3 minutes. This has been my internist for 2 plus years so I told them I had to leave because of pain and to please have the doctor call me. They DID NOT call me and when I followed up 3 plus x over an hour later both the front desk and Dr. Landfield gave me attitude and told me they were going to charge me for a phone consult. WHAT?! To give a standing patient urine results over the phone? Dr. landfield is surly, arrogant and rude. He has made several negative comments about the homeopathic field and comments about other patients as well. His practice does not care about their patients and treats them unethically. AVOID THIS OFFICE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!

I am writing this review after seeing two 1 star negative reviews on this website. Everyone has their right to an opinion and they may very well have had a bad experience (or just a bad day). I have been a patient of Dr Landfield for 45 years. The first time I saw him I was impressed and I just kept going back. He has helped me throughout my life with both medical and personal problems. In the cases where I needed to be seen by a specialist, he has referred me unfailingly to the best person to treat me. He is one of the few doctors I have known who will take the time to sit down and listen to you. Sure, he often runs behind because he takes the time each patient needs, but would you rather go to a doctor that sees you for exactly 11 minutes and then is finished, whether you got to mention your concerns or not? I just want to make it clear that the two 1 star reviews on a site with so few reviews, gives him a rating that is way under the service he provides. I feel extremely… lucky to have Dr Landfield taking care of my health. He's really good and he really cares.

God complex! Can't handle being wrong, handles himself very unprofessionally. He's not an advocate for any patient, consider yourself warned. Office staff is lazy and won't ever answer the phone! Lack of consideration to the patients, keeps patients waiting 45 minutes or more for all appointments. He should have his licensed taken away. He spends a lot of time with his patients but it's all selfishly motivated. Tries to schedule unnecessary appointments, I could go on but I have found a real doctor.

I haven't seen Dr. Lanfield in over a decade; I live in Thailand now and before that, Bali. But between 1983 and 2004 he was my GP even though I could have gone to a VA hospital for free. I saw Barry for everything from the common cold, o .b. .g. .y. n. issues, and he was also my psychologist through some pretty tough times in my 30's and 40's. and once he stitched up my foot when I stepped on a sharp object while barefoot. He made me laugh right through the whole process which was painless! I wish he lived next door to me. I think of him as I would a dear friend!!!

Rare to find a doctor like this these days. He really takes his time with you. He's smart as heck, too. He saved my wife's life and looks like he's going to help me live longer, too. Good guy, good medicine, good heart - one of the old style doctors who serves for the common good, without ego.

How dare you make such judgements on a Physician that you have NOT seen, held a conversation with, etc... Are you that naive or just stupid and prejudice. I am a long term patient of Dr. Landfield and he has seen me thru some of the lowest points in my life and has ALWAYS been respectful, polite, knowledgable, etc. How dare you judge when you have absolutely NO back ground with him to base it on. If you want to base your negativity on only the "negative" reviews without seeing for yourself or reviewing the "positive" reviews you leave yourself wide open to be judged just the same. You're the scared, angry little boy who needs to grow up! People don't your life ONLY on reviews of services on the internet, it being finding a physician, a plumber, etc., get out in the world.

Yesterday I got used by one of the doctors at work, MD Bary Landfield from Greenbrae, CA. This poor fellow is so miserable, he can't control himself. I needed an order for anticoagulant therapy, and he refused to give it to me, and was emotionally abusive, with bursting overinflated ego, and simply sadistic psychological behavior. As a result I wasted the whole hour for the minute issue, all my 18 patients were neglected, and the patient with anticoag therapy didn't get MDs attention and was not treated. I wonder if a doctor has a right to treat other people when he himself is not well, angry, miserable, and wants to spread that onto others?
