Dr. Ben R Mayne III, MD

First appointment with the doctor, he walks into the room and the first thing out of his mouth was. I'm not writing any prescriptions for pain killers or for sleep! (I did not ask for any) well his idea for my hip was therapy. Just pretty much was grumpy through the appointment, just told me to lose some weight and I would be fine. Just seen another surgeon and he could not believe I could walk with my bad hip. Waste of time and money

My daughter broke her leg and we were referred to Doctor Mayne. I am very happy with the doctor and the staff at this office. The staff is friendly, polite and very helpful. Doctor Mayne was amazing with my daughter. He told jokes and made her feel comfortable before doing any examination or x-rays, he knew she was nervous! She may be young but he still made a point to explain to her where the break was and what had to be done next. I am very thankful for the doctor and his staff.

Compasionate and skilled!

They advertise on web saying they take a insurance but when you get there they want large sums of money up front and tell you they don’t take your insurance. Sounds like they are getting money from you then getting paid again from insurance company

Surgical results are poor. Had nerve damage causing "drop foot" resulting in tripping and falling with "unfortunate" result. Knee is still painful and "noisy" when walking. Follow-up visits were less than satisfactory.

I am extremely impressed with Dr. Mayne and his staff, especially his PA Blaine. They were always willing to spend time with me and answer all questions. Between their office visits and Midland Hospital, I was very relaxed and confident going into surgery. Dr. Mayne and Blaine have excellent beside manners. They truly make you feel like they care.

He treated my daughter's broken hand. She is only 8 and he was wonderful with her. He took the time to explain what he was doing step by step, which made it a good experience for her.
