Dr. Boris Dilman, MD

Dr. Dilman neglected to inform me of the side effects of using steroid eye drops. After taking the drops for a week, my eye pressure increased 7 points. When asked if this was caused by the drops, he blatantly lied and said no. I did my own research and found that steroid drops DO cause eye pressure to increase leading to glaucoma. He and the male technician were both rude and arrogant when asked questions. I do not recommend this eye center.

Rude, condescending, demeaning, unprofessional, bad bedside manner. Walked out of the office in tears for asking a question about my prescription possibly changing. I would never ever return to this doctor.

Cataract patients beware. Dr. Boris Dilman’s arrogant and sarcastic refusal to answer serious questions about the risk of complications was a very uncomfortable but revealing experience. He possessed what appeared to be a complete lack of empathy, and actually projected towards me what felt to be contempt. I have spent enough time on operating tables in my lifetime to be well acquainted with surgery and surgeons. I totally respect and appreciate dedicated healthcare professionals, but the idea of a socially inept procedure salesman scares me. With Dilman’s horrible attitude and refusal to share information, trusting him just feels too much like a game of Russian roulette. You have a right to understand the potential risks of cataract surgery—not just in general—but to your specific situation as well. If you do not want to let this guy “blind you” to your legitimate surgical concerns with his intimidating B.S., make sure to ask him questions—LOTS of questions. Do not be surprised… if your efforts are rewarded with a bizarre display of professional insecurity. If your experience is anything like mine was, I guarantee you will not be comfortable letting him put his scalpels and lasers anywhere near your precious eyesight.

Find another doctor/surgeon. Wait time was consistently 2 hours. Post op appointment at 8 am and still waited 2 hours. Terrible bedside manner. Very difficult to communicate with. At times disrespectful.

Care is adequate, but the disregard for the patients is palpable. The front desk staff is dismissive and avoidant, and personally I was frustrated by the wait time.

Drs surgical skills seem good but the administrative process in their office is awful. Expect a minimum regular wait if 1 hour . SLOW. It’s like they triple book appts. Very frustrating if you are a repeat patient. Review your administrative processes. There is no excuse for such long wait times especially in the time of COVID.

Thorough and professional care. My eyes are happy.

Referred me to specialist, easy to talk to, positive experience.

He does the newest lens implant procedures and explains everything in detail. I feel very comfortable with Dr. Dilman as my surgeon.
