Dr. Brent Richard Hayek, MD

Dr Hayek is wonderful, but his aesthetic office staff is horrible. I am unable to schedule my procedure that he requested I do because his staff doesn’t answer phone calls or return messages. I will find another doctor.

First, Dr Hayek and his surgical skills are top notch. However I found his office staff rude, ill trained and uncaring. To start with they never made my surgical appt. I showed up for my pre op appointment and they had no idea what happened. Took a few days but they got it worked out.Surgery center was awesome. It’s a week later and I am literally sitting in his office with everyone that had surgery last week waiting to get our stitches out. Most of us have been waiting well over an hour with no clear explanation other than he’s running a “little”behind sorry. Great doctor. Worst office staff I’ve ever encountered.You decide if it’s worth it???

I'm a 60 y/o male, my upper eyelids were covering half of my eyes. Dr Hayek repaired them with outstanding results. My eyes look brighter and my vision improved. Looking younger is also a nice plus! I would definitely recommend him!

Unlike some doctors that may initially start out to want to help you, Dr Hayek does not give up when challenges surface, no matter how hard. His perseverance and sincere desire to want to help you, coupled with the fact that he is an amazing skilled surgeon, is what every patient hopes for. I was just blessed enough to have him for a doctor .

I had a brow lift to improve vision about 5 days ago. So far so good - and to boot I look 20 years younger.

Have had only 2 visits with him, very satisfied. May have out-patient surgery with him.

As a patient who had just recovered from Steven Johnsons Syndrome (TENS) I was very conscious of my drooping eyelid (ptosis) . Dr Brent Hayek at the Emory Eye Hospital examined me and scheduled me for surgery a month later. At the time of the surgery he took the time to explain the procedure to me and put me at ease. During the course of the following week, I experienced no pain or any sign of infection, and was pleasantly surprised to see how successful and painless the procedure was. I owe a debt of gratitude to Dr Brent Hayek for restoring my self confidence and my eyelid to normal. More importantly for being his caring attitude, attention to detail, a skilful and competent surgeon

Dr. Hayek is a caring, very capable doctor who puts his patients at ease. He called me after surgery to check on how I was getting along. My surgery involved the removal of a basal cell carcinoma from my eyelid. His followup was great, and I was most impressed by his caring attitude. For most appointments, I was seen on time. Only on one occasion did I have to wait 30+ minutes and that was due to his having been in surgery longer than expected.

Dr. Hayek saw me after a previous botched plepharoplasy done by a local surgeon in Athens, GA which resulted in more drooping to my right eyelid, obstruction of my vision field, and proptosisDr. Hayek always treated me with kindness and made me feel special whenever he called me in person to discuss my condition.He always gave enough time to listen to me and to explain things like MRI results, and to answer my questions whether in the clinic or on the telephone.Dr. Hayek is a very Kind and caring surgeon with a great personality and the best bedside manner of all the surgeons I've ever met. When I first opened my eyes after the surgery, the first thing I saw Dr. Hayek's friendly smile.Thanks Dr. Hayek for fixing my eye lid. Now my eye lids look great and I couldn't be happier. Now I have my smile back.

Dr. Hayek saw me during the biggest medical struggle of my life. I have had many Doctors and there's no doubt that Dr. Hayek has the best bed side manner of any I have ever met. He always takes the time to call me back personally anytime I had a question. He took the time to listen to my concerns and talk me through them. I live in N. Augusta S.C. and had to go to Atlanta GA. to be treated by Dr. Hayek for a year and a half. It's about five hours round trip but I never doubted having a Dr. like him made it worth every mile. I have Graves Disease and was completely discouraged until I met Dr. Hayek. I have a appointment with him tomorrow to have my stitches removed. It's been less than a week since my lid surgery and my eyes are looking great. Thank you Dr. Hayek for always seeing me as a person and not just a set of eyes. I knew that Emory had the best Drs but your kindness just as important to me. I pray that God continue to bless you and that you always see the person behind the… eyes.
