Dr. Bushra Iqbal Cheema, MD

Dr. Cheema is a knowledgeable and caring physician. She and her staff are absolutely wonderful. I can't praise them enough!

Dr. Cheema is a very caring doctor who really wants to do the best she can for her patients. She takes as long as she needs when it is your turn to see her and makes sure that you understand everything she is telling you about your condition and care. I would recommend to everyone I know. In fact, I have recommended her to many of my family, friends, and have given some of her cards to my PCP.

Our experience with Dr. Cheema was horrendous. She had absolutely no bedside manners at all. After being diagnosed with a terminal tumor she proceeded to tell us that "chemo is expensive" and that with my dad not being a citizen he probably wouldn't get any help. It was the worst experience of my life on top of finding out my dad had terminal cancer. I would not recommend this doctor.

One year ago today my bone marrow aspiration showed my APL (acute promyelocytic leukemia) was in remission. This disease is rare and deadly if not treated immediately. Dr. Cheema performed the original biopsy and after getting the results worked into the evening to arrange my admission to MD Anderson. She is compassionate and conscientious. She spent plenty of time with me so that I would understand the tests she ordered. I owe her my life.

I have used Dr. Cheema on two separate occasions. I like her bedside manner. She takes time to go over all your concerns and lets you know about the side affects. She will go over plan A. Plan B. etc. Her staff is very friendly. I trust her for my treatment.
