This letter is to express my enormous concern and disappointment about the lack of professionalism and discipline in regards to Covid 19 among the medical staff members in Carlos Fuster, MD office at 11760 Bird Rd Ste 550. Miami, FL 33175 1. As we arrived for our appointment there was NO questionnaire about Covid or temperature check for us or anybody that came in. 2. As we waited in the waiting room for 50 minutes, we automatically noticed further lack of Covid preparation and logical protocol: a. It was obvious that the appointment scheduling did not take into consideration any Covid concerns to avoid crowding and allow for social distance. b. The waiting room had 3 families with several members at all times (one lady sneezed very loud from HOPEFULLY allergies) c. heavy traffic in an out of their tiny spaces inside with more people waiting inside d. no social distance indications on the seats in the waiting room 3. As I was in the middle of my… disbelieve, a loud and energetic lady comes in with Cuban coffee for the staff and she went right in to talk, share the coffee and talk very loudly about SELLING ROOFS services. At one point you hear one of the staff members laughing while telling the lady “listen, you better wear the mask because you’re going to get sick.” As the lady concluded her dealings, she exited the inner office onto to our waiting room with her mask still not properly worn and once again, one of the girls at the desk, laughing reminded her to wear the mask. 4. Soon after this incident, we were let into the same small space where this lady had just been talking and laughing without a mask. I felt very worried and upset that the office would allow this lack of respect and careless for their own patients. We walked through the space quickly and were led to another tiny room to wait some more. 5. Now, as in a Grand Finale format to our experience! On our way out we encounter one of the two professional health care workers behind the exit desk, with her mask completely under her chin, talking face to face with another exiting patient, giving instructions or whatnot. I quickly made my way around this scene in this very tight space, pushed the door open and left the office as quickly as possible. Thank god the other lady had my paperwork ready and next appointment card ready which I grabbed almost as a relay move as I exited I understand these things are actually common incidents that happen on our day to day at the supermarket, at the park, at Walmart, BUT AT THE DOCTOR’s Office --- on Nov. 2020???? No, it’s wrong, amoral, irresponsible, disrespectful and most of all dangerous to the patients and the public. The culture in this office is selfish and not suited to serve the public. I’ve been to many doctors during the pandemic unfortunately and I have never experience anything like this. I’m sill in shock I strongly believe this office should be heavily fined and closed for endangerment of its patients and the public. They have jobs while many other people don’t, and yet they don’t appreciate it and don’t take their responsibility seriously of this job- now when we need them the most. It’s shameful. Out of all people, well-educated health care staff that don’t have a conscious and the common sense and the decency, enabling a dangerous situation for their patients that perhaps are going home to a cancer patient at the peak of the Quemo treatment like it was our case, it’s beyond shameful. Shame on all of you and specially shame on the one responsible that allowed for this culture to run wild at this office.

Dr. Fuster is incredibly knowledgeable. He is great with the kids. He is patient and kind. His staff is great as well. I’m very happy that he is my child’s primary doctor

We have been with Dr. Fuster for 14 years and it has been great. Staff has always a smile on their face and are very helpful. Dr. Fuster has been great with my two girls in all these years. Thank you Dr. for taking care of my two gems :)

My daughter had been almost 2 years with this pediatrician but finally I've made the best decision to change. For starters the office staff works horribly. Getting an appointment is pretty much impossible because they never answer the phone. You would need to call none stop about 20 times. Mind you , when you're actually sitting there the phones don't ring so obviously they have it on silent so they might not even hear it. Next the parking is a disaster. If you don't get there at 7 am might as well not even go because odds are thay you won't find parking. I've had to leave multiple times due to the parking issue. What really made me explode with Dr. Fuster was thay my daughter did lab work and he never called to let me know the results. After 3 weeks I called thinking everything had been fine. To my surprise the nurse tell me my daughter's lipid levels were sky high. How irresponsible is it for this doctor not even to explain to me what was going on. I left a message that day for Dr.… Fuster to give me a call. Two weeks passed and he never called me. So if it hadn't been for my call I would of never found out the results of my daughter's labs. He might be sweet and all but as a parent you don't need a sweet old man to be your child's doctor. You need a professional to answer your questions and give the right medical treatment. That is what he gets paid for anyway. I advise everyone to avoid this pediatrician at all cost. Definitely going to report to to the Florida Board of Medicine.

Dr. Fuster muy pero muy buen medico ,muy amable ,muy servicial , te escucha super bien todas tus inquietudes acerca del nino pero verdaderamente algo le ha pasado en su oficina con la coordinacion de las vacunas que los ninos los manda para otros centros a tomarlas pq el no las tiene ,cosa que ningun pediatra dice lo mismo ,solo en su oficina ,quizas ni el mismo sepa bien lo que esta pasando dentro de su oficina ,que lastima .
