She is the best! Very thoughtful, thorough and explains the situation as she goes. I have to get an injection periodically and I have had others but her technique is the best!

The experience with Carolyn Chen was deplorable at best. She did not know that I am a medical professional and treated me with an attitude of disdain as though I had brain damage and did not have the capacity to understand anything she said. She attempted to convince me to (without informed patient consent) to QUICKLY CONSENT an extremely radical surgical procedure with SEVERE RISKS (including blindness) and REFUSED to discuss the details of the procedure and the SEVERE likely RISKS. She was so confident in her ability to lure me to consent without being adequately informed that she, in fact, made ALL the arrangements for the surgical procedure BEFORE she LIED by telling me that I desperately needed the procedure. A second doctor opinion revealed that she was completely and totally wrong and her motives for recommending the procedure were strictly of financial incentive. In my professional opinion, Carolyn Chen at Houston Eye Associates deserves to have her medical license revoked… until she becomes re-educated and proves herself by conducting herself and her practice in the best interest of the patients. Carolyn Chen does not deserve the trust of any patient.

Dr. Chen was very friendly and genuine! She explained my issue with my sight very well, discussed options to deal with it, and was frank with the pros and cons. I enjoyed my visit with her and felt at ease having her over my care. Will definitely refer others!

I am extremely grateful that Dr. Chen was able to see me in such short notice when Dr. Susan Fish’s (HEA) Conroe Office called for an appointment. Dr. Chen is an Excellent Specialist!! She is AMAZING- -she explains clearly, listens well, love her energy and her persona! Very skilled and thorough and at the same time gentle!!! I cannot find the right words to convey how thrilled and at peace I feel knowing I am under the care of such an OUTSTANDING Retina Specialist!!! Thank You Dr. Chen!
