poor care and poor follow up

Questioned why I had appointment with Dr. Baston. They seemed perplexed why I would make appointment with only opthalomologist in group. My vision has progressively gotten worse, and felt like I needed to see an eye doctor with more higher training. Dr. Baston came into the room after a long wait and asked me what my goal was. I stated it had been 3 years since I had my last eye exam. I had never been asked before why I was seeing an eye doctor. She examined my eyes and told me that I had cataracts, but not medically necessary to have cataract surgery. I am 62 years old and have always read it best not to wait to have cataract surgery. She said I could call Clemson Eye group and talk about Refractive Lens Exchange and wrote it down for me. I was disappointed in the whole visit with staff and Dr. Catherine Baston. Will not go back there.

Especially thorough examination! Extremely courteous and professional. Listened to me in a serious and caring way and explained everything about the diagnosis of the exam and follow up procedure.
