My experience at Regions Hospital and the Hand & Nerve Clinic was nothing short of spectacular. Dr. Christina Ward and her staff were very concerned and cooperative when I first went for diagnosis. She explained my ulnar nerve in my arms were causing my hands, little finger and ring finger to be numb each morning and my hand and arm strength to be weakening. Every test and procedure to be done to correct this was explained before surgery was performed. She saw that the thumb on my left hand, which had been injured two decades ago and had been useless since, was also repaired. I had surgery on each arm at different times to correct these problems. My hand and arm strength are now better at age 75 than they were at 65 and the numbness is gone, The experiences I had with Dr. Ward and everyone at her office and at Regions were very satisfactory and I would heartily recommend her and her staff for any hand or nerve related problems.

I have been seeing Dr Ward for several months for fractured wrists. She did my surgery and I think she did a good job with the surgery portion. The after care was the worst! I was sent home with no help or support, no pain control and when I asked questions concerning symptoms I would not get them answered by the doctor or support staff. I developed "complications" that were all avoidable and needed a second surgery with Dr Ward. My symptoms are better but far from gone. If you are in need of a hand doctor DO YOUR HOMEWORK concerning the surgeons abilities and the support staffs skills. I unfortunately did not have that option due to the urgency of my condition.

I have been seeming Dr Ward since early spring. I can honestly say that she is a good surgeon. I felt her clinic follow up skills were lacking. I had complications after my surgeries with Dr Ward that could have been avoided with better listening of patient concerns.

Dr. Ward is very competent, knowledgeable and experienced with this type of surgery. She is personable and approachable with my questions related to the surgery and healing process. I highly recommend her for anyone needing this type of surgery.

I was referred to Dr Ward because of her level excellence with hand/wrist surgery. She explained my condition very well and showed me that she really wanted to help. Other doctors should learn from her example. Awesome doctor!!
