Dr. Christopher David Hogan, MD

Dr Hogan is great but his staff and nurses are total. Uncaring about the patients. The wait time is unbelievable as I waited for over an hour and a half while some had been waiting for over 3 hours! This is a lack of scheduling organization. His receptionist was oblivious to the waiting patients and one of the nurses was rude and what I believe to be racist. She just blew me off when I asked to be seen as my husband was very ill and in rehab and I needed to get back….no effort on anyone’s part and I felt even worse for those waiting for over three hours! I had this appointment for over a year as a yearly exam as I’m diabetic. I was upset as I noticed other people coming and going that has arrived there after me. Something needs to be done as if the dr doesn’t realize his staff is this way…no respect for other peoples time and health. Wow sorry but I had to leave and will find another ophthalmologist whose office isn’t rude and totally uncaring about the Drs patients. They also… charged me $30 for a prescription charge at the time I checked in. Wow….I would like to be refunded my $30 as I never got my eye exam.

Dr. Hogan is an excellent doctor. That being said, be prepared to spend between 2-3 hours waiting to see him and then however long your appointment takes. I can’t figure out if this occurs due to inept employees scheduling appointments or because they double (& triple) book appointment times. I suspect the latter. My advice: ask for the first appointment of the day (7:30). You’ll still have to wait but it won’t be as long.

Wait time is absolutely unnecessary and reflects bad management. Having had several appointments I have waited at least 2-3 hours to see the doctor for 5 minutes after seeing a technician for 5 minutes. Others in the very overcrowded waiting room were waiting just as long. This office apparently does not feel that the patients time is of any value at all. I don’t understand how Dr Hogan got the Promptness award. My brother saw a different doctor and had just as many appointments and never waited longer than 30 minutes and his doctor was much more personable. No one explains anything about what they are doing.

If you use this doctor prepare to be the from 2/3 hours or more. I do not care how nice the staff is.... There is no reason to spend a half day in a doctors office.

He does have a busy practice and sometimes wait times are longer than 10 minutes but overall he and his taff are very through.
