Dr. Joyo is a great heart surgeon. All five artery were block. He was very straight forward with my wife and family. Was very compassionate and caring. His decesions saves my life. I can’t thank him and his team enough for keeping me alive. Had to be airlifted to UCSD medical center for follow up care.

I'm very grateful that Dr. Joyo was chosen to be my surgeon. I had a double bypass for the condition known as the "widow maker." I had very little advance knowledge of any heart problem of any kind. Under the circumstances, Dr. Joyo fit me into his very pressing surgical schedule. He was so reassuring and I felt that I could sense his considerable skill and training and felt confident that I'd be "okay." After the surgery, he checked on me numerous times in the IC unit as well as afterwards. He is so easy and comfortable to communicate with, ask questions, express fears and so on. I'm so grateful he did my surgery!

I had quintuple bypass surgery over 10 years ago and Dr. Joyo was my surgeon. He is outstanding in every way. He has an excellent bedside manner and is obviously a highly qualified and caring surgeon. I would trust him with any kind of surgery. He literally saved my life.

I have had a grand total of three Pneumothorax episodes. None, of them have been particularly great. Two of which resulted in Surgery. He was very kind and told me all the risks and benefits of said surgery, also went into great detail what the surgery was and how it was to be performed. I am actually recovering from a very recent surgery with him. I owe it all to him that I can breathe comfortably now! Thank you Joyo! I will never forget you. I would trust him with my life completely!

In 2006, I had major thorasic surgery and nearly lost my life in the process. Dr. Joyo was so caring and compassionalte and knowlegeable....he gave me a feeling of confidence in his abilities that encouraged me and comforted me. I will never forget his deep caring and expertise. I am very glad he was my surgeon.

Dr. Joyo was both knowledgable and devoted with an excellent bedside manner. I saw him for a triple bypass surgery and he was frank with me on my odds. From what I was told during the surgery I had flatlined ten times. Apparently Dr. Joyo spent 16 hours keeping me alive, not giving up on my life, despite recommendations from other physicians to do so and for that I am eternally grateful. I will get to enjoy a more precious years thanks to his persistence. I would recommend him above all others.

I had a second pneumothorax and Dr. Joyo did the surgery on me at Hoag. He was very good, very caring and technically very good also. Would trust my life with him.

I had pheumothorax and Dr. Joyo performed VATS. He was not only excellent in the knowledge and skills, but also a very nice and caring person. I have recovered and back to my routine.
