Dr. Colleen Linda Coleman, MD

I had two surgeries with Dr. Coleman, the first being a lumpectomy and the second a sentinel lymph node removal. Despite being worried about my condition, she made me feel comfortable. She had the patience to answer any question and devoted whatever time was necessary to me. Dr. Coleman has wonderful bedside manner and is great at explaining procedures. She even went so far as to draw pictures to lay out what part of the breast/lymph nodes she would remove. The surgeries went smoothly and the scars are healing nicely. Dr. Coleman was personable and had already looked through my previous procedures so she was prepared for my appointment. Even though the problem didn't appear to be gall stones, (recently diagnosed) she had a booklet on that organ she went over with me. She gave me what I needed, a description of the discomfort I would feel and where if my gall stones did start presenting a problem. I was relieved to know what to expect and how to handle it when, or if, it does happen. Very pleased with this first visit & I am thrilled to know who to go to if I need this type of help.

I went to Dr Coleman for a second opinion regarding breast cancer. She spent an hour with me explaining in detail about the procedure and potential results and treatment. This was after my first consultation which was less than fifteen minutes! She also calls to talk to you before and after surgery. I can’t say enough about what a wonderful, caring doctor she is! If I could give her ten stars, I would.

Dr. Colleen Coleman was recommended by three friends independent from one another (including two doctors whom we know) to tackle my wife's bilateral neck dissection for metastisiced thyroid cancer. We were absolutely terrified at first, but knew we were in good hands. Dr. Coleman spends the necessary time with her patients and often has to deliver difficult news, so there can be a wait. Must surgeons would just rush you through. Getting through this surgery was of course emotionally and physically demanding, so this was important. The surgery went smoothly. Dr. Coleman set us up with an oncologist and endocrinologist whom are also each at the top of their game. Nine months post-operation, my wife's cancer is under control due to Dr. Coleman's follow-ups. High-dose radiation took care of the thyroid cancer in her lungs, which is showing no signs of recurring, and the slim surgical scar across her neck is fading fast. Dr Coleman's skill is evident in how faint the scar is and continues… to fade over time. There are no signs of any cancer remaining in her neck. We feel like we received the best care possible and are forever grateful for Dr. Colleen Coleman for saving my wife's life.

The doctor runs her practice so poorly that you will wait two hours in the lobby, then you will get into exam room where you will wait another hour. At which point she may finally wander in and deign to speak to you. This has happen ended three times now. And no, there wasn’t some emergency. When questioned about the delay you get attitude. There is literally no excuse for that kind of wait except she and her staff don’t care. She may be a decent surgeon, but she sucks at patient relations and it’s hard to put trust into someone who can’t do something as simple as scheduling patients with any degree of competence

Dr. Coleman really cares and it shows in every aspect of her practice! I adore her. More than that...I trust her.

Dr. Coleman record speaks for itself, but after meeting her in person, I was even more impressed. On my first visit, she spent over an hour with me explaining my condition, showing me my scans, discussing further testing and recommendations. Dr. C answered all of my questions and walked me through each step in the process of determining the next course of action. Her staff was positive and very efficient. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Coleman for anyone in need of a surgeon with her qualifications and in her area of expertise.

Dr. Coleman saved my husband's life! She is an excellent surgeon and doctor. I would recommend her to anyone! She is very caring and compassionate!

Dr. Coleman, took her time to explain why I needed surgery, what she felt was the plan of attack (best way to do my surgery), and if need be, how she would deviate from that plan. She produced a diagram and showed me on the diagram what she was planning on removing. She made sure to check with me and answer any questions I had. She demonstrates a care and concern for her clients, and when she called in the evening to tell me the removed growth was benign, there was a relief in her voice, as compared to that morning when she had seen me and had a tone of concern in her voice.
