I had seen Dr for over ten years. And they completed a form incorrectly, and I lost my job. Then they hired some new girl and she was trying to give me 3 appointments even though the paperwork from Dr stated 2 appointments. I pointed to it and was told "dont touch my desk" I left without making appointment. Then I called to change a different appointment and I was told I was no longer a patient. When they hire someone which is every few months they need to advise them it is a pain clinic. He is a pain Dr. Everyone that goes in is in pain. So no need to be rude. Then I finally get a new Dr after being without medicine for a while and unable to move. I complete a records release and new Dr sent to them per Billy ( who claims to be new, but is not) it had to be their form per hippa. What a crock of crap. As long as a release is completed by patient it doesn't matter from where. But I went to complete one of theirs anyway and when my new Dr office called for records they said they didny… have one. I think maybe its time yo talk to someone to get all of this under control and get me something for all this harassment.

Dr. Nairn is wonderful. He takes time to listen to all my complaints. He also provides painless epidurals. Thank you for all you do Dr. Nairn.

Hea good doctor and a nice guy.

This anesthesiologist is not a pain doctor. He gives spinal shots and has not idea about diseases and symptoms. He does not know how to treat patients since his experience his patients are under anesthesia. He is an idiot and has no compassion or care for individual people. In appropriate and overly friendly and personal when should be talking about patients issues. He is not good for any medication management. Afraid of responsibility and prescribed me medicine that makes my pain much worse and have been suffering severely since. Took his name off the list of my doctors on Lovelace, whom he goes to pain clinic one day a week. He does not belong there and doubt has had any education or inservice on pain management. Simply an anesthesiologist looking for one day more pay. WARNNG to anyone with Chronic Pain like Peripheral Neuropathy. He prescribed a medicine that conflict with my antidepressant, have terrible side effects he ignores and prescribes same medicine. Idiot. Do not put… your life or your pain in his hands. He is an idiot. And I am a registered nurse and in a position to judge. Seen anesthesiologists. They pay there bills while your IV goes subq, mans hand big as a baseball, and another won't lock cart when transferring people off operating table. He is a fake people person. No more than that. I have been in agony now for over 10 days since seeing him. Have to wait 10 more days for appointment with a new doctor. Quitting Lovelace as this is all they have to offer. One pain clinic with this clown.

He can add and edit. Many report written by same person for sure as no four people or more write with the same terminology and cadence. Come on. Do not trust this man. Asks for a hug then turns around after you leave the room and denies any medication., send his Manager out laughing at you when she say tough luck, no pain med. Medicare would not like this. No professional judgement here. This is the sole place for his accolades of his great skills. Note many sound written by same person, the phrases a doctors dream, and same cadence and vocabulary. He has deleted two of my entries already. Vital is for and by doctors. Not like Yelp. His ethics are lacking and he doesn't give a yahoo about you and will quit you in a minute after asking for a hug, and his Manager will laugh in your face when she says "he told you several times", when he does not tell you that he is refusing any meds. Said I only had two choices of meds. Really not congruent with his advertising. Then gives two… weeks med coverage on second visit., hardly time to get a professional doctor. Just like previous complaint, second visit he quits on you. He likes spinal injections, and does not belong in clinic giving pills. Lies about "Rules", when they are "Guidelines" and states not to be taken as rules and applied on an individual basis. Afraid of his own authority and does not want to be responsible, renewing a med that has caused me significant side effects and contraindicated, and gives not referral as he is required to do. You can report doctors for ethics and violation of practice to the Board of Medicine. The article in Albuquerque is not reference to his expertise but an advertisement, no patient support. And his self report of expertise comes from ratings on Vitals, which one out of one is a 100% and he gets an badge. Don't let him be overly friendly, as he likes gets too chummy, then "Surprise", refuses appropriate medicine. He gave me two week supply of medicine that has serious side effects, affects brain like Effexor, tinnitus, dizzyness, brain fog, worse pain for 1-3 hrs after taking and last two hours, blurriness of vision, poor balance. Not theses negative effects with a mere 5 mg hydrocodone, up to four a day, and 5 mg diazepan once a day, for muscle spasms that accompany peripheral neuropathy. Does not belong in Lovelace Pain Clinic. They need to review this guy.

Note ratings go to 2009. One a year. Not highly rated pain Dr.? Where? Not my experience. He cites "rules" when they are "Guideluned" that are encouraged not to be rigid but individualized. Afraid to prescribe lowest dose of opioid 5mg hydrocone with 5mg diazepam for muscle spasms. Not for pts w peripheral neuropathy. Asks for hug before exiting exam room knowing he won't prescribe needed pain med. Sat 1.5 he waiting for a script then Manager said I wasn't getting any. ? He did not give a definitive decision before he left. Said "rule" not one 5 mg diazepam at us allowed so no script for hydrocone 5 mg. Heavy duty decisions. Does not belong in the Pain Clinic. Anesthesia Doc likes injections and afraid of responsibility and authority. This was a pain clinic. "Only 2 options". He removed his name on Mychart so I could not fill out questionnaire and did not tell me he resigned and why? Inserted some page that said wrong part of the country. Something wrong here. My P.A. had no problem w… my med needs.

I paid $300 cash because they didn't accept my insurance. I spent plenty of time speaking with the doctor and made a plan for medication management, down to the dosage. They had me do a urine test that visit and scheduled me a month later. So I discontinued use of my primary doctor for medication management. Well I get a call the day before my appt with Dr. Nairn to get my medication refill from Rachel, the office manager, telling me that he will not treat me. When I asked for the reason he changed his mind, I got absolutely no valid response that would explain why he had changed his mind. If something came up on my urine analysis then I would suspect they would tell me that. However, I gave him a complete list of every medication I was currently taking, and I do not do drugs or drink alcohol so I don't think that is the case either. Now I read on their website "NOT ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS FOR MEDICATION MANAGEMENT." That was not stated a month ago on their website...Rachel did say I… could come in for shots. Dr. Nairn and I spoke extensively about the shots because I have tried them in the past and was paralyzed for 3 days following them, so he KNEW this was not an option for me. I feel like they gladly took my $300 cash, with no intention of taking me as a patient. Not only did I destroy my patient relationship with my primary, because I was told by Dr. Nairn himself that he would take me as a patient, but I wasted the entire month, when I could have been finding a doctor who would actually treat me!!! The staff is really nice and I appreciate everything they did for me but now I think it was all just to get in for that expensive consult. Which is not their fault by any means. I believe that doctors are so afraid to prescribe medication for chronic pain patients that it interferes with their ability to help people and they look for alternative methods of making money...I.E. SHOTS> They all want to shoot us up with steroids, which causes arthritis...the exact thing I am battling, among other issues, because of a deformity in my spine that has developed. He completely baited me and switched without so much as an explanation. So very unprofessional and put my health in jeopardy. DO NOT TRUST HIM.

I have been trying since May to get an appointment. I was told I had to get my records to the office. I did that and the records were received by his office in May. I was never contacted by his office. I called back in July and was told that my records were sent but they were never given to Dr. Nairn. I was assured the records would be sent to Dr Nairn and would be contacted in a couple of days. No call! A week later I called back to follow up and spoke to another person who told me he didn't find my records and that they were probably shredded and I would have to get them resent! He would not listen to my explaination about my conversation with another staff member just the week prior. I guess I will go back to New Mexico Orthopaedics. At least they will schedule an appointment for me! Why are doctors in practice if they don't want any patients? Mmmmmm

Dr Nairn is the kind of doctor that listens to his patients and truly cares. He is always on the top of new kinds of treatments. His staff is always caring and compassionate.
