Dr. Cristina Capanescu, MD

I have been going to Dr. Capanescu for many years. She is the best gastroenterologist I have ever been to. She listens to you and explains her treatments. I feel so lucky to have her as my doctor because she has helped me so much with my issuses.

Had an appointment with her last year, she listened to me and though I was there to discuss an Endoscopy, she suggested having my Colonoscopy at the same time. She went through all my symptoms, listening thoroughly. She was a pleasure to talk to and in that time, I felt as though I was talking to a friend. Excellent "Bed-Side", manner. The worse part of the procedure, was not at all the Procedure, but the prep (drinking liquid and having to take a few pills). Once I arrived and checked in, she was there from beginning to end. The procedure was easy and when I woke, I was happy and had not even realized that it was over. May I add also, if this is the procedure that you have to have done, and for me, it was the best sleep I have ever had, even though I’m certain I was only there for an hour or so… She is simply excellent, and hands down one of the best doctors I have ever spoken to. You will not regret seeing her.

Dr. Capanescu is a very patient, caring and understanding doctor who knows how to communicate with her patient. She always spends time talking to me about my illness and is never in a rush. She listens to my observations and takes them into consideration as well as my suggestions. She listens and respects the fact that I have some awareness of changes in my body and explains to me what maybe happening. She is not too quick to diagnosis and treat but waits to see how the body reacts over time. Good doctor patient relationship plays a big part in a patient's healing/living with an illness and Dr,. Capanescu has helped me achieved this.

Very knowledgeable with excellent bedside manner too. Made an uncomfortable procedure, upper endoscopy, much more relaxing for me.

Dr Capanescu was recommended by my primary care doctor. She was professional and personable during the colonoscopy screening. She was in command of the personnel and procedure making what could be an anxiety filled morning seem common. I would recommend her to other colonoscopy patients.
