He will talk to you any kind of way and please don't go to him if you are a workers comp case because he will take any action possible to send you back to work. I feel like he's getting paid by the company's workers comp to send as injured employees back to work.

Great surgeon, patient and helpful thru spinal fusion (T2-S1). I continued to see him for pain in left leg, neck, hips and nerve issues. I was told “ there was nothing more he could do for me”, offered more PT and suggested I go to pain therapy. When I called back to talk with him the following day and spoke with his nurse -I was emotional and confused from the lack of care and concern-she told me “the surgery was successful, not much more we can do.” She then sent me a letter to apply for disability, which is not what I was looking for nor did I apply for disability. They made me feel as if I was faking and I should be fine, no concern for the continued pain and nerve issues. I have since gotten help to cope with my limitations and extensive nerve and muscle issues. While great surgeon, I was truly disappointed in how they treated me, or the lack of, in the end.

Dr. Burval is very thorough and explained to me in detail the risks and benefits of my surgery. He didn’t rush through the appointment and listened to and answered my questions taking his time. I feel confident going into surgery he is the right doctor.

Dr.Burval showed and explained to me the X-ray and went into detail as to what was going on with my spine. In doing so it made me understand things I wasn't aware of.
