Dr. Daniel Edward Heiner, MD

Dr Heiner performed a total knee replacement on my right knee.’ Three weeks after the surgery , while I was at my physical therapy session ,I was told to walk up the higher steps. When I did this, there was a loud “snap, or a crack “ sound. I felt a huge amount of pain at that moment. The physical therapist sent me home right away snd told me it was probably scar tissue breaking away. In 3 weeks? I made a appointment withDr Heiner, and he said that it just seemed like I was trying to get out of going to therapy, I wasn’t happy to hear that, so I left his office. The pain kept getting worse snd I was having a trrrible time walking, when I should have been walking better. I made another appointment to see Dr Heiner, they took anX-ray of my knee. He looked at the X-ray, and said with surprise. YOU HAVE A BRoken. BONE! I had been trying to tell him there was something wrong at my previous appointment but he wouldn’t listen, even when I told him how it cracked during therapy.… He then toldme that he had never seen that happen before , I asked if He knew how to fix it , he then said I should just live with it instead of going through the surgery again, and I should just use a walker or a cane. Luckily I found a wonderful orthopedic surgeon in Henderson Nv. He fixed my knee and it is pain free. My problem now is the the broken bone has healed and now my lower leg from my knee down Is turned inward and it has made It very difficult to walk,and I will never walk the same again.

I am still hurting with my shoulder replacement done in May 2016 and 3 surgeries. I am now going to the Mayo Clinic tomorrow for a second opinion. I wish I had kept my own shoulder. Think before you go see him.

After have been seen by the Phoenix VA the day after I turned 55 for my right shoulder, which was bone on bone, I was told to live with it for 10 years, as I was too young to have a shoulder replacement, change my lifestyle. Ok, I did not like those choices. I was able to see Dr. Heiner after the VA System established if you lived more than 40 miles from a VA I could go to an outside doctor. That is when I went and saw Dr. Heiner. He seemed to be a little reserved in personality at first, but once you got to know him better, he was awesome. He ended up doing a full shoulder replacement on me 10 months ago, at first we tried just cleaning up the shoulder joint from arthritis, that didn’t help much, then tried a half shoulder replacement and that seemed to work for a about a year, unfortunately with osteoarthritis my joints are a mess, so full shoulder replacement was done. I am happy with the results.

I went to Dr. Hiner as my hip kept locking up causing me to fall. He discussed imaging results with me and showed me what the problem was. He laid out all the possible options and left the decision with me as to what I wanted. I chose hip replacement. The entire process from post surgery to rehabilitation was managed efficiently and effectively. The new hip is the best joint I have. I went to him on the recommendation of others who have had joint replacement surgeries. I have no regrets and recommend him 100%. Will have shoulder surgery with him as my doctor with no reservations. I found him to be knowledgeable, candid and , yes, he does have a sense of humor..

I fractured wrist and needed help! Able to get right in and have surgery the next day. Dr. Heiner is a gifted surgeon who put me back together! I could not be happier!

I have two friends who had knee surgery with Dr. Heiner and were very happy with the results. So I chose Dr. Heiner for mine. Good choice, it's now a year since my knee surgery and I'm getting around fine without knee pain.

Office did not return phone calls. Can't phone to see if printout of consultation is ready. Have to attend office or leave voicemail and get answer within 24 hours. Was told be ready in 2 weeks. When I DROVE to the office, was told 4 weeks, yet, when I insisted as returning to Canada, she simply printed them off. His notes have so many errors, stating things I did not say and now I have to explain it all to my insurance company. Says I admit bleeding disorders. NOT! Says I told him Naproxin gives me hives. NOT! Says I said I was bitten by ticks a number of times and a tick bite got infected. NOT! I said I found two ticks on my body about 4 years ago. Don't think I was bitten and certainly not infected. Says I could benefit from anti-inflammatories but never gave me a prescription. Didn't list medications properly. Said he gave me a booklet of exercises I could work on. NOT!

I was recommended to Dr Heiner by a friend that's a part of his surgical staff, past patients and friends here in Lake Havasu that have had family members under his care. I then moved to Lake Havasu to be able to see him. Ive been in to see Dr Heiner 3 times now and am amazed at how smoothly all appointments have gone. Coming from Calif. where I couldn't get anything but band-aids and bubblegum treatment for my bone on bone knees for the past 4+ years, I'm now looking forward to a new knee replacement next month. Thank-you Dr. Heiner....I'm so grateful to you and your staff for the wonderful treatment I've recieved and the change in my future I see coming my way because of you!

I Had Carpel Tunnel Surgery and Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Daniel Heiner Is a great surgeon , and the whole staff that works in both places are very helpful and caring to all there patients !!
