Dr. Daniel Zovich, MD

WORST DOCTOR AND STAFF EVER. THEY WERE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. ID RATHER BLEED OUT THAN EVER GET NEAR HIM AGAIN.

Zovich has the bedside manor of and irate traffic cop; he was rude snippy and showed no interest in me as a patient or as a human being. The thought of him getting any of my money (insurance) is galling. He may have been having a bad day but that is no excuse for rude behavior from a so called trained professional.

Run, Run the other way, there's something really creepy about this Fake Dr. he treats a lot of his patients with disdain and holier than thou attitude. Don't let him touch you. At least with my story I confronted him instead of squirming out of there with my head down. My head was high. HIS head was down.... Shame on you Fake Doctor

Amazing professional and very kind. His staff are amazing as well. An uncomfortable situation for me turned into a comfortable one.

i had a full blown panic attack, sleepless night, pounding heart, fear of the unknown....but the nurses talk you through every simple step and once you meet this kind kind man, you know you are in the best of the best hands. i was out for what felt like a minute and my endoscopy and stricture were handled without pain or worry. i haven't been able to eat anything solid for years and now i can. he was succinct but never rushed, personable, i left knowing exactly what i had and how to treat it and best of all, had a g.i. that was the best. and this is true, right down to its little toes. you cannot find a man who will take better care of you than doctor zovich.

Skilled MD, very careful and patient. A must in your visit to San Luis, CA.

I have been a patient of Dr. Zovich for over a decade. Throughout that time, he ignored my concerns with chronic diverticulitis. I thought if he disregarded my symptoms, I should ignore them, too. Finally, an ER doctor told me that I had to do something before my intestine ruptured. Only then did Dr. Zovich tell me that I had severe diverticulosis and that yes, I should have surgery. The surgery revealed that scar tissue from the chronic diverticulitis was strangulating a part of my small intestine, and that was part of the reason I had so much pain all the time. I decided to change doctors after my surgery, but this group will not allow a patient to chose their doctor. Although each doctor in this group has signed a contract with my insurance company (a PPO, not an HMO), they have an agreement between them NOT to allow their patients to change doctors. Once you see one of them, you're stuck with them no matter what their skill level. I called three of the seven partners and they… all told me the same thing - they refused to see me. When I asked Dr. Zovich to release me to see one of his partners, he would not. None of them ever asked me why I wanted to see a doctor in the first place. I had to leave the county to find a new gastroenterologist. Even though I'd had a colonoscopy a little more that a year ago, I had another one with my new doctor in Santa Maria. He found FIVE polyps. All were precancerous and one of them was 10 mm. I can understand how some polyps can be missed. The intestines are complicated and there are many variables. However, the 10 mm polyp was in a place that should never have been missed and was causing me a lot of discomfort. I recommend you do your research before you see the doctors in this group. Especially Dr. Zovich. For me, it is worth driving from Atascadero to Santa Maria to see a skilled, careful doctor.

A very arrogant, uncaring healthcare provider. Although he was asked by three healthcare providers at French Hospital to come and evaluate my condition he decided it was a psychological issue without even seeing me. By the time he finally did the necessary procedure, an endoscopy, I had been vomiting for almost 24 hours. The endoscopy clearly showed I had several serious issues, including a blockage of my esophagus. I would drive to Santa Barbara or even LA to avoid this Dr.

Dr zovich is abrupt and rude. Spoke to me as if I was stupid and made me feel uncomfortable .

My appointment with Dr. Zovich was like wham-bam thank you ma'am. Although he was highly regarded by my primary care physician, he is curt and abrupt. He did not listen well and seemed to me to have a attitude of superiorty. The overall visit with him in the exam room was less than 5 minutes and that is probably being generous. He did not look into my eyes once.
