Dr. Hein is an outstanding physician. He is very organized with medical records reviewed regularly and lab values current. He is highly professional and I have no complaints after an association of many years.

I took my sister to her appointment, and Dr. Hein was as uninterested as he could be. She had fallen and been on the floor between 24 hours and three days, and Dr. Hein merely raised his eyebrows. He asked her why she fell. She said she didn't know, and he didn't pursue the subject. When I asked him for a healthy food plan for my sister's diabetes, his response was that we weren't talking about being healthy; we were talking about getting her blood sugar level down. He said she needed more insulin!

Dr. Hein is very efficient giving attention to detail and follow-up. He has a calming manner with good eye contact and practices active listening.

He's as cold as a stone. Preoccupied the whole visit, my 15 min appointment was more like 5 min. and rushed.

I had a great deal of back pain and was sent to a Physical Therapist who had me exercise by myself the entire time. The pain becam excruciating and I returned to Dr. Hein, he never ordered an MRI and just said that I "could try acupuncture." Will never be back.

This doctor is more focused on getting patients to set up and pay for an office visit, than routinely refilling Rx's that patients already have.The first time this happened, I went in to talk to him after his desire to discuss a medication. When I went in, he did not recall "Why" I was supposed to come in to see him. I have since requested refills on two medications that I have been prescribed, and he refused to fill a new Rx unless I made an office visit. My insurance policy has a high co-pay for office visits, and this doctor is just milking patients for fees, and holding them hostage to get routine medications.I have discussed this with other patients of his, and the practice is rampant. The local pharmacy has also confirmed that this doctor does this to their patients all the time.Shame on you, Dr Hein. This is unethical. I am joining the crowd and changing doctors.

I had some serious medical concerns and Dr. Hein has been almost negligent in dealing with them. I switched to a highly competent GP and what a huge difference!!!
