Dr. David Anthony Lam, MD

I have acne that is getting worse. My age is 77 and needed help as OTC meds have not helped. Dr. Lam prescribed cream a year ago and they did nothing but make my skin peel. Saw Dr Lam again a month ago as the acne was worse. He prescribed the exact same cream as last year, obviously did not look at my record. When I came home w/ the rx, called his office to tell them this cream has not worked, and he prescribed it again. They called me back, saying he advised me to buy an over the counter acne med. That's why I went to HIM! He is no help at all; will never go to this doctor again!

Have been seeing Dr Lam for the last 5 yrs. He has performed Mohs surgery on me many times. He is very caring

After visiting the Tarpon Springs office for the 2nd time in 3 wks I informed the PA that I had not yet received a biopsy report from the earlier visit. She answered , "Sorry about that" and walked out the door. Today I got a call stating that the biopsy report was "an invasive squamous cell ca" and recommended Mohs surgery ASAP. Unfortunatley, I cannot make another appointment at this time. I have recommended that my records will be removed from their office and I will notify the State Board of Medicine. What a joke. Called numerous times left messages no reply then told me bad news on my condition and stated go see a cancer doctor. Staff terrible rude and doctor uncaring

Very happy with Dr. Lam, and his office staff. Had to have 2 basal Cells removed. One from my face and one from my arm. He talked to my husband and I, made both of us very comfortable. He never started a removal with out making sure I couldn't feel anything. His nurses were the same way making sure they didn't hurt me either. He never leaves the room without making sure all of your questions are answered. He does a full body scan and still asks if there was anything I was concerned about and recheck the spots I was concerned about. Its nice having a doctor that listens to you.

I went to see Dr Lam and was seen by his PA Katherine Rehberg, who was excellent. Very professional, always asking and making sure I undertsood everything. Made me feel very relaxed and comfortable my very first visit with them.

I was referred to this doctor for a possible skin cancer mole and my doctor Dr. Burns referred me and wanted me to be seen ASAP and the first apt. Available was the day after Xmas which made me rearrange all my travel plans for Xmas. I called and sent all my information to Dr. Lams office a week in advance and told the receptionist my insurance info and she said they accepted it and knew I was a referral from dr. Burns and could see me the day after Xmas! I was given the wrong address and no apology when found the correct address that they moved too and when checking in was told to have a seat and waited another 30minutes to be told I was not going to be seen cause they didn’t call Dr. burns office and get the referral verified. They had a week to do so and still did not call me to give me the Courtesy since it was holidays weekend to say they would not be seeing me! I changed my holiday plans for this apt. And no phone call. I asked her why she didn’t even have the descentsy to call… me and she said they closed half day! So that’s an excuse to not let me know. What if every patient didn’t show up for the doctor and their whole holiday was ruined for people who didn’t bother to call and cancel? Would she like that? Then when I said I would go to another doctor not to reschedule me she then had proceeded to be ruder than she was at first by saying it’s my doctors fault!!! Very unprofessional!!! Will never go back even when I know it’s not the doctors fault! This was very rude and inconciderent! Espeacially xmas holiday! Merry Christmas to me I missed holiday with family do to this visit that they knew would not work a week in advance!

Dr. Lam is an excellent doctor.

Terrific physician, who has excellent medical and 'people' skills to put patient at ease.

After reading some of the negative reviews (just two of them) I HAD to add my review. I used to move around the country every 2 or 3 years for my job and because of my need for regular checkups for skin cancer, have been to MANY dermatologist. In a nutshell, Dr. Lam is the best I've ever known. I've been seeing Dr. Lam for roughly 10 years and even though we have moved further away from his office will continue to make the drive to see him. One of the reviewers (maybe both) said he seemed rushed and they felt like it was an assembly line. One of the many reasons I will continue to see Dr. Lam is precisely BECAUSE he is efficient. I have been to many, many "specialists" where you had to wait up to two hours past your appointment time. I have never waited more than 10-15 minutes to see Dr. Lam and have ALWAYS felt that he gave me a complete exam, asked me if I had any concerns, and let me know what was going on. Simply the best, in my opinion.
