Dr. David Carthage Byrnes JR., MD

Dr. Byrnes and his partner are great. Terrific bedside manner and solid diagnostic approach. Today I had a little longer wait because I was late (never attempt to park in Park Slope!), but typically wait times aren't that bad, especially when you consider that people frequently walk in without appointments. Keep up the good work!

I have been a patient of Dr. Byrnes for almost 10 years, and will continue to see him as long as he is in practice and my insurance permits! He is a wonderful, friendly person and very caring toward his patients and staff.

He asks questions, encourages patients to ask questions, and he's a great diagnostician.

For both my wife and I, this Doctor has mis-read and/or misinterpreted details of test results on a regular basis, has given bad advice based on these faulty diagnoses, and in all ways seems to be a very poor doctor. I would recommend anyone look elsewhere for health care.

Dr. Byrnes is a warm and caring professional. He is conservative in his approach, ie diet before pills. His staff is great. The one difficult person has moved on. He inspires trust and confidence, esp. with scope procedures. I have recommended him to many of my friends.

This doctor double bills patients by charging them the appropriate copay, and then sending bill collection agencies after them, saying bills were never paid. The doctor's office is also unresponsive, completely disorganized and unable to keep track of paperwork. BEWARE.
