Wait a month for an appointment...get a call for reschedule...wait another month for appointment...again get a call to reschedule...

my experience with Dr Echevarria has been nothing but great. He did a great job explaining what to expect and I feel that my life has changed because of him. I am about 3 and a half months since my surgery. i have lost 60 pounds and I feel amazing. I still have about 50 more pounds to go, but I am confident that I will get there. I couldn't be happier with my results and my amazing surgeon.

I had Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy performed by Dr Echevarria. The surgery experience felt like a â??patient conveyor beltâ??. The doctor stopped by before the surgery to obtain signature for the procedure and so did anesthesiologist, that was extent of their communications before the procedure. I asked the doctor and the nurse to reach out to my husband when the procedure is done to inform him on how everything went. My husband never received a single call from anybody. The doctor did not bother to stop by after the procedure and talk to me too. I asked the nurse that was discharging me to see him, she said he was unavailable. My surgery follow up appointment was with nurse practitioner since the doctor was on vacation. The day before, my appointment got pushed back. The day of, I received a call that my appointment is cancelled. I called and asked to reschedule with a different doctor and was told that no one is available. So here I am, the week after the surgery, still donâ??t know… what was done, how things went, and apparently there is no one available for at least another week to see me. I do not think I can describe my anger using appropriate words. I never leave negative feedback even when I am very upset, but I feel obligated in this case. Do yourself a favor and go to a different doctor or better â?? to a different group of doctors that will treat you like a human being and not like a case they can make money on.

Dr. Echevarria is an excellent surgeon. Before my sisters surgery I spoke to him and inquired of his credentials. He was very cordial and explained the surgery and his experience. He also told me he would do everything humanly possible to help my sister. He also gave me a cell phone number to call him if I had any more questions. After the surgery he took me and another family member in a side room to explain how the procedure went and what could be expected. At all times he was nothing but very caring, honest, and professional.

I'm having the hardest time trying to be professional. This man must have had the worst day the day of my consult...I would not close my eyes near him!

-Office staff constantly changing my appointment time-Waited over 1 1/2 to see the doctor-Overall unhappy with the whole experience and wish I went to another doctor...one that was able to help me..

DR. DAVID ECHEVARRIA IS THE MOST CARING, LOVING, PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEDGEABLE DR.WE EVER MET. WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL. IF ANYONE EVER NEED A SURGEON DR. E. IS THE WAY TO GO. HE SAVE MY HUSBAND'S LIFE. WE HAVE LOTS OF RESPECT AND LOVE FOR HIM.

I was referred to Dr. Echevarria through my Primary Care Physician for a surgery. I was able to get in very quickly. He was very thorough with me. His approach was direct, professional and completely non-condescending. He is a perfectionist and cares deeply.A few days ago, Dr. Echevarria performed a laparoscopic hernia repair. He is a very skilled and caring professional. I'm pleased with the result and fast recovery time from this surgery.Thank you Dr. Echevarria.I highly recommend this excellent surgeon.

Was referred to Dr. Echevarria through a friend for a surgery. Was able to get in very quickly. While waiting to see him I overheard him in another room - he had gotten some test results for another patient and he was concerned. He called the patient personally and told her to come see him that day - I knew I was in good hands. He may seem rushed or harsh but he is really just in the zone and processing everything he can. He was very thorough with me and even found an additional problem that he did not need to look for at all and no-one else found. I wish I could see him for everything. He is a perfectionist and cares deeply although it may not show - if you listen closely, you will hear a joke now and then. Thank you Dr. for being the best of the best!

First let me say before he came into the room for the visit, he had hollerd at a staff member complaning about how busy he was. Not cool. I was referred to Dr. Echevarria after having an ultrasound and a HIDA scan for my gallbladder due to pain in my right side that also radiates into my back and I get nauseated and bloated very often. Turns out I have biliary dyskensia. My gallbladder is only functioning at 10% and is very slow emptying and not squeezing enough. Dr Echevarria shrugged it off. Said it's only a number, wouldn't be suprised if in 6 weeks my number is higher. Also asked if I had bad pain during the HIDA scan- I did not. He said with gallbladder issues you would have. Said he didn't feel I needed surgery. Told me to just lose weight (Im 50lbs overweight.) He also didn't take the time to read my chart or history because I asked him if liver issues I have could be causing the issues- he said oh I didn't know about the liver. I told my primary Dr that Dr. Ecchevarria didn't… recommend removal of my gallbladder- she gave me a wierd look and told me to get a 2nd opinion. I got a 2nd opinon and the visit with this other Dr made Dr. Ecchevarria look like a quack. I am scheduled for surgery in a few weeks. The other Dr. explained since I am diabetic I definetely need the gallbladder out, I could have a silent infection and not know about until it's too late- it could cause pancreatis. She also advised I could have crystallization and sludge in my gallbladder from it functioning so poorly. Dr. Echevarria said nothing about this. I do NOT reccomend Dr. Echevarria.
