Dr. David James Hormozdi, MD

Dr. Hormozdi was very knowledgeable, friendly, great bedside manner, explained things thoroughly and spent time with me. This was my first visit with him so I was happy to have found him.

Last year he canceled my mother’s follow-up appointment for a hospitalization 10 minutes before the scheduled appointment time because another GI doctor was the consulting doctor during her hospital stay. The discharge summary CLEARLY stated to keep the appointment with Dr. Hormozdi. The other GI doctor’s office did not have an appointment available for at least one month. Meanwhile, my mother was off all of her prescribed medications pending a GI consult she didn't get until over one month later. My mother kept her tears in but I know she was hurt to be treated like that especially when it was so very difficult and painful for her to walk and in the middle of a summer downpour. I have never been so furious at a doctor before and to this day his office assistant never called back like they promised. Pathetic service and unethical behavior.

I am leaving this review for my father. He had an excellent experience with Dr. David Hormozdi this week and wanted to leave this review. Dr. Hormozdi gives excellent patient care. He has a wonderful and patient-bedside manner. Our family is truly grateful to have a wonderful GI doctor like Dr. Hormozdi and look forward to years under his professional care.

From the receptionist, to his assistant, to Dr Hormozdi....all treated me with respect and were very helpful when I went to his office. Dr. Hormozdi and the staff at St Joseph’s Hospital were wonderful throughout my procedure. Dr. Hormozdi was available to answer all questions. I was very pleased with Dr. Hormozdi and the whole staff and will return to him again.

My mother had made an appointment prior to being hospitalized. Discharge paperwork indicated to follow up with this doctor and keep original appointment. He cancelled once we arrived at his office because he was not the attending doctor at the hospital. He places professional courtesy with other doctors over desperately needed patient care.
