Dr. David Irizarry, MD

Dr. Irizarry was my Endocrinologist here in Loxahatchee, Florida. He was the BEST! I plan on looking him up when my family and I move!!

When I first called Palm Beach Endocrinologists, I was attempting to make an appointment with the other Dr. in the practice. She wasn’t unavailable and I chose to make the appoint with Dr. Irizarry. I was upfront with him that in the past I had experienced negative experiences with male endocrinologists and was not truly thrilled with my appointment. Dr. Irizarry is only about two years older than myself but quickly he and I established a wonderful rapport and he asked me to give him a chance. I am so glad I did! A year and a half later and he is the first endocrinologist to determine that my Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) coupled with thyroid nodules, were contributing to my weight gain and other endocrine problems. He was able to develop a plan of care and monitor me closely. I lost more than 45 pounds under his care. But more than my weight loss, he was able to provide me with a sense of getting my life back under control. He is kind, compassionate, and truly listens to you. He… is a true diamond in the rough for the medical community. Florida is going to miss having him. He is one of those doctors that is worth following- his care is that good!

Dr Irizarry is by far the best endocrinologist I’ve seen in 17 years. Takes time to listen, works with you to establish a plan of managing your Diabetes. He is honest and sincere and I’m happy with his care!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Irizarry!!He is hands down the best doctor I have EVER had! He is the most personable, most "REAL" doc that I have ever known! He talks to you like a real person, TRULY listens and takes his time, explaining everything! He absolutely SAVED MY LIFE!! Wonderful wonderful wonderful doctor!!

Office staff is competent and friendly. Easy appointments, usually on time, doctor is wonderful. Helped me lose weight even though I have thyroid and Metabolism issues.

Dr. Irizarry is an outstanding physician. He cares deeply for his patients. His exam is extremely thorough and he spends the necesssry time explaining in detail the treatment you may need. He is compassionate, kind and most thoughtful. I highly recommend Dr. Irizarry. He is an excellent endocrinologist, and you know from the very first visit that you will receive the best care.

i was referred to Dr Irizarry by my Primary Physician. I had nodules on my Thyroid Gland and needed further attention. I met him and he was very kind and gentle. The biopsy was done and the results was 80% probability that the nodules was cancerous. When he informed me of the findings he gave me hope and was very positive. At the end of the visit he said a prayer with me and that made me feel good that he too believe in God. After the surgery the pathology report was negative for cancer. I now live in Deltona, Fl and for my appointments I drive back to his office which is a 500 mile journey round trip but it is worth it. I totally trust him and by the way I am also a Nurse and has been a Nurse for 44 years. I think I no when some one realy cares about his patience's. I would give their office 10 stars if I could.

Dr. David Irizarry is a superb physician both technically and in his relationship with patients. Over the years I had seen 4 other endocrinologists in Palm Beach County so I was dismayed and frankly disgusted that not one of them sat down and listened to my concerns. This time I really wanted to my homework and chose the right doctor. A friend had recommended him to me but it’s an hour drive to his office so I was hesitant but I was convinced it was worth it after our first meeting. When I met with Dr. Irizarry he reviewed my case and decided to do another US as I had one ordered by my pcp but it was not a great study so he did mine himself, no tech or nurse I really felt like I was in good hands. He ended up recommending a fine needle biopsy he explained the procedure in great detail, I was nervous about the findings, but I left that office visit with full confidence in him and therefore, I was no longer nervous. As a whole I could not have received a better outcome, when the results… came back he suggested surgery to remove the nodule which resulted in being cancer and he saved my life. He is truly blessed at what he does and his knowledge base surpasses any other endo that I have met. I felt like I had concierge care without the fee and having worked in healthcare for over 20 years and had seen some very uncaring physicians. I am thrilled that I found Dr. Irizarry, he is clearly amazing at what he does and it is very apparent he loves his job and his patients. I cannot thank him enough diagnosing and treating me with compassionate care during a very difficult time in my life.
