Dr. David Phillip Lurie, MD

I would give less than a star if possible, his nurse, is an absolute terror to the profession, rude, negative and a disgrace! You’ll be waiting 6 months for an appt then you deal with nurse crochet, and you’ll be lucky if you get seen at all! Most unprofessional people I’ve ever dealt with, and I hope they go under for it!

I have been a patient of Dr. Lurie's for more than 10 years. He is highly intelligent and stays current with the practices and prescriptive remedies relative to the Rheumatology practice. In addition, he keeps apprised of my basic overall health and coordinates visit notes/reports with my internist. I highly recommend him as a specialist.

Can't believe he's still practicing. Went to him years ago when my doctor thought I had lupus. He examined me, then said to undress: said he needed to do a pelvic exam. When he returned, I was dressed and ready to leave. It wasn't mentioned and I never returned. I'm certain I wasn't the only one.

Recommended by physician friend as brilliant. Office and nurse always helpful and informed. You have to be ready with your questions. Ask for simpler explanations. My doctor for years now. Very satisfied. He is a caring physician.

Very childish staff. The nurse is rude, no manners, threatens patients, hangs up. The staff holds you accountable for their mistakes. Go read all the reviews for this office. Everyone says the same thing about this office! Glad I got rescheduled elsewhere.

I believe he is an excellent doctor but just not my style. Hi manner of speaking was hard to follow. No compassion or empathy. Spoke too fast with too many hard to understand concepts.

I have been treating with Dr. Lurie since 2002. He has gotten my R.A. under control and I hardly have any flare-ups. His nurse and staff have always been super. Anything I need his nurse has always helped, whether completing my FMLA papers or getting my pain medication. I highly recommend him to anyone.

My friend has waited MONTHS to see Dr. Lurie, and after searching for months trying to find a way just to get there because she doesn't even have a vehicle, she was told when she arrived that they do not except her insurance. Here is the problem, she confirmed with the staff during the months that she waited for this appointment that they DO accept her insurance and now suddenly after she took the time and trouble to get there, they don't. My friend has very little money, she is wheelchair bound, and as I said before doesn't even have a vehicle. So in my opinion, if you can't even train your staff correctly on the insurances you will accept than the rest of your practice is probably bogus as well.

He is the best in our area but his staff has room for great improvement,,,They treat you like you are a second class citizen,I feel if he knew the way they talked down to his patients he would have their jobs.
