Dr. David Pryor Jones, DO

I recently had a procedure done at Gastroenterology Consultants NE on Topperwein Rd. Although nervous, I cannot express enough how comfortable I was made to feel by everyone from the front desk, the nurses and, of course, Dr. David P. Jones. My nurse, Valerie, was absolutely awesome, extremely professional, friendly and helpful in calming my anxiety. Dr. Jones is an excellent physician who has excellent bedside manner and will take the time to answer any questions you may have. First visit with this doctor. ...Doctor Jones rushes in (like he was upset), quickly scans through my paperwork (seconds), tells me that it looks like your other doctors did everything, and that he can't do anything, says it's IBS, told me basically to go home and "look it up" (IBS), (look it up?!!! That's his job!), gave me some literature on Fod map diet (without explaining it) and sent me on my way!!! Never examined me or asked me where I'm hurting. I came in with excruciating pain in my right side. I was literally in tears and he didn't ask me any questions. This doctor was rushing me out! He was insensitive and unprofessional! I don't know how he got those other high reviews. Maybe, he just had a bad day, but that doesn't excuse his attitude! 0 stars from me!

Everyone at the clinic was very nice and made me feel less nervous about my procedure. Dr Jones explain everything well and put my mind at ease.

Very professional, I didn’t have to wait too long. Double the anesthesiologist’s salary. Thank God you don’t use Valium. When I woke up, I was almost 100%.

As I'm retired military, Dr Jones, then on active duty at SAMMC, performed a colonoscopy exam for me many years ago. I'm now on Medicare and it was time for another colonoscopy. When I found Dr Jones was now with Gastroenterology Consultants of SA, I couldn't set up an appointment for the procedure fast enough! He is the most personable and professional doctor I've ever met! Just a quick word about the staff....they were all very helpful and most efficient, which made for a totally pleasant experience. I'm sure the other doctors with this organization are very good, but as long as Dr Jones is with them, he is the one I will ask to make an appointment with for any gastro procedures. In my book, he's the best!

I highly recommend Dr Jones and compliment his entire staff. Very one was very polite and caring. There was no waiting time at all. When does this happen? Dr Jones is the best Dr I have ever had. Very personable and talks to you like a human and not way above your head in technical terms. You can understand exactly what he is talking about. GREAT GI DR.

I am a retired RN with some pretty complicated health issues. I did a LOT of research before choosing to go to Dr Jones. He is very knowledgeable and will also explain things so my non-medical husband can understand. I feel very comfortable having him care for me. The office is clean and the staff is very professional too. I would highly recommend him to anyone with any GI issues.
