Dr. David Elazar Simai, MD

A positive attitude goes a long was and I never saw him let any of his patients walk out of his office in tears. He is a great observer so he quickly picks up on signs and symptoms which helps him diagnose accurately and quicker. After the diagnosis is made and the treatments are started, he keeps a close eye on his patients and you can tell his motivation is not just to do business but mainly is caring deeply about all of his patients' well being equally. He learns the patterns of all of his patients' bodies and takes more and more cautious steps towards moving forward stronger every time. I recommend Dr David Simai to everyone who might be in need of a pediatrician that actually cares.

I was not an easy patient growing up. I had many serious conditions and many emergency situations. He was quick and detail oriented with every single incident that I came across and even after I was too old to have Dr. Simai as my primary, he still answered my calls and cared for my well being every time I ran into an issue.

Dr. David Simai has been our pediatrician since he first opened his Cedarhurst practice over 10 years ago. We have entrusted Dr. Simai with our 6 most precious positions, our beautiful children..... and for good reason. During each and every appointment no matter how busy, Dr. Simai gives us his undivided attention, takes the time to answer questions, discuss any concerns we may have as well as check in about all the things going well with our kids. You always know that he genuinely cares and is interested. He consistently provides knowledgeable information, great feedback and suggestions and has a way of calming any fears over a situation. He is very engaging with our kids, talking to them on their level and always making them feel comfortable. Our children actually look forward to going to doctor's appointments to see Dr. Simai! This genuine concern is shown in so many ways. There here have been many times over the years when one of our kids were diagnosed with an illness and we've… received a call from Dr. Simai at night or over a weekend just checking in to make sure that everything was ok. They say you can tell a Doctor by how his support staff treat you...This same culture of caring and service oriented attitude translates to his entire staff. We feel very fortunate to have Dr. Simai as our pediatrician and have recommended him to many of our friends and family and will continue to do so. Dr. Simai is such an outstanding Doctor. My children are so lucky to be cared for by such a warm and loving Doctor who bends down for a hug when they come in! Dr. Simai will come into the office after hours just for me if I have an emergency. During our last well visit, Dr. Simai taught my son self-defense to help with bullying in school, and Dr. Simai did not end the visit until my son looked like he was ready to defend himself! He has given my children stitches with such patience and care. Another wonderful about him is that he always lets "mommy" know that she is doing a great job. I have been bringing my 7 year old to Dr. Simai for the past 4 years. I found him when searching for a second opinion. He recommended that I stopped giving my daughter juice for weight management. Within a year my daughter went from being overweight to a perfect weight. I would recommend him and all of his amazing office staff to any parent.

Dr. Simai is absolutely the best! Always has time for his patients, very responsive and attentive! When my daughter was 2 years she became ill and after seeing a flurry of specialist no one could tell me what was wrong. It wasn't until Dr. Simai said, "Enough is enough!" Pointed me in the right direction and my daughter received the care she needed. Words can not express my gratitude to Dr. Simai for truly caring about his patients, he took the time with a first time mommy and eased her fears...answered any question or concerns I had...even emailed me back during off hours! I recommended both my sisters and now they take their children...he is truly a great pediatrician!

Dr. Simai has been taking care of my kids for the past 2 years. I find him to have the charm of the old time doctors, nice bedside manners and compassion. I also like that he has "call in hours" to chat and answer non urgent messages. He makes sure to report blood test results so I dont stay nervous each time my kids get their blood drawn. I feel that in today's world, its hard to find a dedicated doctor like Dr Simai.
