Dr. David Thomas Holmes, MD

Dr. Holmes is 100% the best psych Dr I’ve ever seen. Those who are complaining- have you ever actually been to another psych dr? Cause I’d bet money if you had, then you would 100% realize that most psych docs have much worse appointments. Dr. Holmes has always been fantastic for me. I have found him willing to listen and is more than willing to hear how my meds are working and taking my input into consideration when deciding a new treatment plan. He is brilliant in his field, efficient, and sincerely wants to help those he treats. Go see for yourself, if you go in knowing what to expect and prepared I can absolutely guarantee you will understand.

Was very rude to mu elderly father. Made me so sad. Such a disrespectfull person. My dneeded help and all he got was this arrogant jerk who seems as if he needs help himself.

In all of my years of doctor visits and healthcare, Dr. Holmes is hands down the worst doctor I have ever experienced. He is rude to the point of abusive, belligerent, and unresponsive to patient needs. He is arrogant to the point of telling is patients “Don’t talk! Just answer yes or no!” This man should in no way be responsible for the mental health of others. Not only is he rude, but the office staff is of similar dispositions. They rarely answer the phone during office hours and refuse to return calls. Once when sick with the flu, I had to cancel an appointment and attempt to reschedule. As retaliation for canceling an appointment, they refused callback and left me completely without medication for five days. This medication cannot be stopped abruptly; however, we were told that was not their problem and that I should have kept my appointment! This was the first time I had ever had to reschedule! We plan to go as far as to file formal complaints against this practice. Absolutely… abhorrent doctor and staff with little or no regard for their patients. Be warned!

I like him as a doctor.

Go into your appointment knowing he is a psychiatrist, not a psychologist. He is not going to discuss any of your life problems. In fact, he will barely discuss your medication problems. He will ask a couple of questions, you will need to say yes or no, and then he will print a prescription. He may go on a rant about how great he is at his career, but you get what you need and you're out of there in five minutes or less.

After Holmes rolled his eyes and refused to explain his plan for my husband I wish I had recorded the visit as an example on how not to behave as a physician, especially a psychiatrist. Won't ever go again. My fear is someone who is fragile will commit suicide after their appt. with him.

First appointment, he never made eye contact. He was busy typing a speech on his computer (he told me that was why he was typing), and bragging that he could do two things at once. The appointment was 10 minutes long. In that time, he talked about himself, his upcoming vacation, and interrupted me every time I spoke. He prescribed an antidepreesant, and told me to come back in 2 weeks. Next visit, the receptionist didn't acknowledge me til she finished her small bag of chips, and I waited a half hour. Again, he typed the whole time. I told him the meds made me unable to sleep. He argued, yes argued that the meds are working correctly. I know when I can't sleep since taking them tthat they were the cause. I never went back. He is unbelievably rude and arrogant. He doesn't listen. Ironically, he has a sign on his desk "anyone who answers a phone call during an appt will be charged an extra $100 for wasting my time". Truth!

I am glad this guy is gone. He is not a warm recceptive person. He has no bedside manner and does not look out for the best interest of the client. It his bottom line.
