Dr. Dean George Tortorelis, MD

Dr Tortorelis is the finest urologist. He provides outstanding and compassionate care. He goes above and beyond. His staff are also excellent. We highly recommend him to anyone searching for a new urologist.

I am very unimpressed for the following reasons; 1) On the morning of the emergency surgery, the pre-op nurses had to call him after he missed his appointment time. When he did call back 30 minutes later, they mocked him routinely for always being late to emergency surgeries. All the while, I am was in extreme pain due to the kidney blockage. 2) After the surgery, his “triage” nurse (and I use that term very loosely as a better word would be incompetent) did not return messages left for over 5 days. My blood pressure was in the 190/110 range, which is not normal for me and I was looking for guidance as it caused considerable concern. Overall, this team is very unimpressive and I would highly encourage you to find a more competent practice if at all possible.

I saw Dr. Tortorelis 3 times in 2018 for a large jump in my PSA count and an ongoing urinary urgency problem. I found Dr. Tortorelis to be personable and professional. Unfortunately he chose to not address my urinary urgency/incontinence issue which has been getting worse for several years. He has a "plan" which was to wait another 6 months and we will discuss it further. This was after running my out of pocket cost to nearly $ 1000 for this year. I don't believe that he is concerned about my overall health and well being, just padding his bottom line by dragging things on for as long as possible. My recommendation is find some other urologist practice to do business with.

Did surgery on my husband and was in a hurry and poked a hole in his bladder, and he almost died. The surgery would have been unneeded if he would have taken care of him as should have been done in the beginning. Run from this guy.

I REALLY APPRECIATE THE WAY HE RUNS HIS OFFICES TO BE PROMPT AT CHECKING ME IN. HIS TIME WITH ME IN THE PATIENT'S ROOM IS GREAT AND CAN TALK ABOUT ANYTHING THAT IS ON MY MIND AT THAT VISIT. !0 YEARS WITH HIM...

Missed a crucial diagnosis. Hurried through the appointment. Did not follow up with me after a serious infection and emergency room visit. Minimized my concerns. I will NOT go back to him!

After visiting Dr. Tortorelis twice (and waiting over 45 minutes), he INCORRECTLY diagnosed me with prostatitis without laying a hand on me or doing any tests. It was a waste of time going to see him. I finally got to a respectable urologist who diagnosed me correctly, and my prostate was not inflamed whatsoever. Don't waste your time.

I would highly recommend. Dr. Tortorelis took very good care of me.

I would recommend Dr. Tortorelis. He was very thorough, took plenty of time to answer questions and discuss options.

I find Dr. T an absolutely wonderful Dr. He fully explains every thing. Very detailed and the most caring Dr. I've know. Couldn't find a better doctor.
