Dr.Louis was right on with the epidural shot he gave me in my neck! He had to shoot around corners, but he got the job done. With no pain to the patient! Just wish they were longer lasting!

My patient doctor experience with Dr. Louis has been 1st rate. He spends time and answers all questions, I’ve been going to him for almost 1 year for epidurals and found Dr. Louis very compassionate.

I am an attorney and former top investigative reporter, who has a lot of credibility and experience. I have seen a lot, having dealt with everyone from Presidents and Prime Ministers to hardened criminals. I am familiar with Paul Marsiglia, D.O., Dr.Louis' practice mate. Suffice it to say, I have never felt compelled to leave a negative review about anyone or anything, but out of concern for the health of others, I feel it necessary to say very clearly - stay as far away from this practice as you can.

He made what was an already bad pain condition much worse through his poor judgement and his inability to perform a basic procedure. Please look carefully at his education. He graduated from a medical school in Grand Cayman Islands (St Matthew's University) that four states (including California) refuses to accept for accreditation (google it). It is also a veterinarian school (which is appropriate given the care I received) so ask yourself if this is the quality of education that you want in your doctor. I sure wish someone on these review sites would have brought this point to light as I never would have proceeded, but hopefully I can help others to make an informed decision. Dealing with chronic pain is a exhausting miserable experience so you owe it to yourself to find the best possible care.

Innovative Pain is awesome. Look no further if you need a good, caring, compassionate pain doc who understands. I've been dealing with a spinal injury and severe pain for 5 years since I was injured. (My past pain doc experiences) I was at another local practice for the last few years. A 45 minute to 1.5 hours wait was the norm and sometime much longer all the while my pain was rising from those uncomfortable chairs. My pleas for help because the pain was unbearable always falling on def ears. The being told I had to deal with the severe pain for the rest of my life just did not seem right when I had never once been told or explained why I had the chronic debilitating pain. Yet I have my primary telling me no way we will find someone who will help. My family used their connections with doctors to ask some of the best docs in country who said same thing, I had options. My case is a tricky mess because of duty related injury and them refusing to pay the bills anymore.… But the last pain doc was nailing me for almost $400 a month for visit for scripts that I still had to pay for for and barely put a dent in my pain! I was at my wits end. I finally called it quits and stormed out of the the last pain docs office. I refuse to make someone rich while I'm suffering. (Innovative pain below) My primary told me he wanted to give innovative pain specialist a try before I tired to get in elsewhere because he had seen amazing changes with patients he had sent to this new practice with two wonderful highly trained pain docs. I called them explained my situation and had an appointment for a few days later! Not a month but a few days later. There was no office filled to overflowing with patients just miserable. Their motto is one at a time. Dr Louis and his partner understand pain. They don't want to make you miserable. I suspect they got into pain management for the right reason and not to cram as many patients into a day to make as money as possible. Less then a 5 minute wait for my first visit. Dr Louis spent over 45 minutes with me on my first visit. It was amazing the questions he asked and to watch him rack his brain to come up with a game plain that fit me and my needs. He was making sure he had my best interest first! I had been told before other docs wouldn't touch me because of all the hardware and stuff in my back. Dr Louis didn't care one bit. It didn't intimidate him. If you have been told that do not believe it! I've seen Dr Louis several times in under a month n a half. I've already had a procedure to try and relive the pain. Plus he used to it to confirm what the real root of the problem was. Part of my body that had been giving me extreme pain the last pain doc told me it wasn't his problem and refused to treat the issues the toot of the problem has been confirmed by Dr Louis. I saw a specialist for my foot who confirmed the issues all stemmed from my damaged nerves in my spine yet the last pain doc didn't care nor did any of their staff ever listen. I have never felt so miserable and hopeless in my life the last 5 years. Dr Louis has given me hope again he's made me feel tests of joy. For the first time in 5 years I had several hours of no pain. I knew it wouldn't last but to have that brief time was a recharge I desperately needed and that has given me hope. I have had countless procedures before Dr Louis and never experienced those wonderful pain free moments or any real lasting relief. Dr Louis with his procedure did help relive part of the pain but not the other as he expected and explained. Again he was looking for signs to confirm what he already knew was the real issue. For the frost time in 4 years I have know the exact cause of what's causing my pain since the fusion didn't help with the pain issues. I have scar tissue on the nerves. I had asked this question countless times and had been brushed off, that scar tissue was not the issue. I have been given a game plan for real long term pain relief plus Dr Louis isn't fine with my pain levels until being out of control and me going without sleep. He's gots idea and new medicines he is throwing into the mix. ( nerve blockers like Lyrica or Gaba do not work for me.) I realize with chronic pain we sometimes measure our relief in inches or smaller but it is obvious with DR Louis that he wants that relief to happen as quickly as possible while being a responsible Doctor. At Innovative Pain they understand pain. They understand it not only affects you but your family and every aspect of your life. They want to help change it all!
