Dr. Denise Michele Hightower, MD

Not a good experience. I'm moving to a new doctor.

I love Dr. Hightower, I have been a patient for years and I can always depend on Dr. Hightower to tell me exactly what's happening in any situation good news and bad with dignity. She has always diagnosed me correctly and provided the best therapy. I have never repeated a visit over and over for the same illness unless it's a seasonal virus or the flu. She is the type of doctor that gets you in and out but makes you feel appreciated.

I was a walk in and it's not like I haven't been here before. It's the girl at the front that is so rude. She has a smart mouth. Instead of her telling me when she think she could put me in she had me sitting in the lobby over an hour and half. Poor Customer service. She do not need to be in the spotlight. I had to go the window twice. I had to ask her if I need to sign in. She just irks me.

The best doctor I've ever had

After visiting several doctors in the Memphis area, I was first pleased with the staff. They were very professional from answering the phone to schedule my first appointment to my first visit. I did NOT feel rushed through the appointment and felt that Dr. Hightower actually listened to me as to what I was experiencing.

I was a patient of Dr. Hightower for 4 1/2 months. I've seen her twice, the first and second time she was in and out of my room. She took blood both times and referred me to other specialist, one was a kidney specialist and the other a sarcoidosis specalist. Each time it took over two weeks before her staff called and made me an appointment. My numbers from bloodwork was horrible and I needed to see a doctor ASAP. I called and called to to try to get her staff to make my appointment, because only they could scheduled it...no luck. After many times of calling I sent an email to the doctor and I use that term loosely! The Dr. became irate and gave me a 30 day notice! Not once did she try to find out what her staff may or may not have done but she took it out on me. Pleaae if you want good health care don't go to her. She cares very little about her patients.

Dr. Hightower has been my doctor for many years, she was even my mother's doctor before her passing in 2007. Dr Hightower is an excellent doctor in every way, she takes care of all my health needs to keep me on track. She is a great doctor, I love her and would never go to anyone else.

I have been a patient of Dr Hightower since I moved to Memphis 16 years ago and I have received nothing but the best care from her and her staff, I will follow Dr Hightower wherever she locates to in the city of Memphis.
