I saw her, was over charged, she did not listen, did not read notes prior to our visit, I had such high esteem and hope prior to seeing her and was horrifically let down.

I became very sick about 3 years ago. I spent 9 months going to different doctors trying to find out what was wrong with me. My condition continued to get worse and I began to lose all hope. I finally decided to try to get into Mayo and my first visit was with Dr Lal. She was very professional and courteous to me and within 15 minutes she knew what was wrong with me but needed to verify with lab work. I was suffering from a rare autoimmune disease called Wegener's and I was slowly dying from the disease. She had seen it before and knew right away what was wrong with me. Wegener's is fatal without diagnoses and treatment and I got both from Dr Lal! Three years have passed now and I'm much, much better. I've had 8 Rituxan infusions that saved my life. I had two surgeries with Dr Lal to clean out and correct the severe damage to my sinuses. She also put in new tear ducts for me and I'm very grateful. I've seen her several times over the past 2 1/2 years and Dr Lal and her assistant… Cathy have been very good to me. Thank you Dr Lal.

I had had three unsuccessful sinus operations done by two other (very good) ENTs to stop frequent, severe sinus infections that started four years ago. The infections were caused by severe narrowing and plugging of the frontal sinus drainage ports. Both ENTs said these ports could not be widened because of the abnormal surrounding bone structure and I would need to see a surgeon who specialized in such problems. Dr. Lal is such a surgeon. Dr. Lal identified the problem much more completely and advised me of my options and the risks. In a three-hr outpatient surgery 6 months ago, she deleted the problem ports (giving me one large port) and corrected other causal bony abnormalities. Because of severely limited endoscope access to the frontal sinus via my nose, she reserved the option to complete the procedure via trepanation through the forehead. With a lot of patience, she didn't have to use that option. I am so grateful for her medical expertise and caring manner. I have my… life back!

I had a septoplasty for a very severe deviated septum. I now have relief and can breath better because of Dr. Lal. I wholeheartedly recommend her for her excellent skills and manners.
