Dr. Diane Ryder Counce, MD

Didn't see Counce at initial visit until 3 hours after appointment time. No 'sorry for the delay' or any other form of explanation or apology. She took a thorough history, diagnosed my wife with possible Parkinsons and scheduled an MRI. Two weeks after the MRI we show up eager to hear the results and realize our appointment is with the nurse practitioner and not Counce and neither are prepared to discuss the MRI. About a week later we get a phone call from the nurse regarding the MRI. She can only say it shows severe atrophy in the brain but cannot provide any further diagnostic or prognostic information. At third visit (also with the nurse practitioner) I refer to Counce as a ghost and express our dissatisfaction with their poor communication in a calm and civil manner. We promptly receive a certified letter stating that they expect a certain amount of decorum from patients and family and will no longer work with us. Called to have her records transferred 2 weeks ago. No response.

I was a patient for over 7 years every 3-4 months, during which time I saw Dr. Counce less than once a year (I usually was given an appointment with a Nurse Practitioner. When my seizures increased to daily and I developed dimentia, I decided to get a second opinion. After being hospitalized, it was found that I was taking four times the seizure medication I should have been taking. If that’s not enough to scare you, this office does not practice recommended COVID guidelines.

We have been coming here for years and love Counce . However the sign in lady is the most unfriendliest ever. Maybe she needs a job where she does not interact with people. Or she just does not like her job and it shows

Dr Counce is wonderful! I have been under her care for several years. She has helped me so much with sorting out the best plan for my migraines and bruxisim. She has a great enthusiastic personality., very easy to talk to. Always willing to listen. I never feel rushed during my visit . I have recommended Dr. Counce to several of my friends and they are all very pleased.

I have been Dr. Counce's patient for over 10 years. I have a very complicated medical history and have to see many specialists. I consider Dr Counce one of my best physicians. She is extremely intelligent and knowledgeable, is always up to date with the latest medical treatments, and is always trying to find every possible resource to help me be as functional as I can possibly be. She is also one of the most caring people I have ever met. Yes, there may be a wait to see her, but that is because she takes the time to listen to her patients. No matter how busy she is or how late in the day it is, she will give me however long I need. She goes above and beyond, in my opinion, to make sure she does everything in her power to take care of me. That is a very rare quality in a physician in this day and age. I started using Dr. Counce when she first started her practice and I am still with her. I pray she never leaves this area. Went to her with a rare disease-Behcet's. I have even been to Mayo Clinic and all I found out was Dr. Counce is the best Dr. there is for me. Many symptons go along with this rare and crazy disease and she is here for me with all of them. If this is not enough she saved my daughter's life. She had encephalitis and because of Dr. Counce diligence she was saved and no after problems. I sing her praises.

Dr. Counce has been wonderful to me. I have bad migraines and she was able to get me botox injections. I get those every 3 months and the migraines have almost been eliminated. She is on time, very thorough and listens. Her staff has always been very professional. Danny Bass

I have been a patient of Dr. Counce's for 5 years. During this time, my issues have sometimes been difficult to pinpoint as well as medicate due to the fact that I have seizures, debilitating migraines, some muscle weakness and neck and back problems. Dr. Counce has continued to research the newest medications and treatments for me, NEVER giving up of helping me to eventually become pain/seizure free. In addition, Dr. Counce stays abreast of the most current research in neurology and shares her wealth of knowledge with her patients. Dr. Counce is always friendly and LISTENS to her patients. She actually sits down, listens to what you have to say, documents EVERYTHING, checks the information given against prior information and only THEN discusses her thoughts and suggestions for treatment. THIS is the epitome of a true medical professional who has ONLY the best interest of the patient at heart. Dr. Diane Counce is truly AMAZING!

I have been seeing Dr. Counce for over 10 years. I receive Botox injections every 3 months and have had numerous tests done over the years. She is knowledgeable, courteous and personable. Even though my health insurance changed to a provider she did not accept at the time she continued to see me as her patient. The wait is sometimes longer than I would like but her service makes that wait worththough I do not like the injections, I actually enjoy my visit with her.
