Dr Howard is extremely knowledgable and professional but caring as well. I didn't feel rushed during my appointment and the staff is very friendly as well.

I started seeing Dr. Howard after my doctor retired, she was highly recommended by a friend. I am pleased with my overall experience with her and her staff.

Dr Howard was very informative and pleasant! Sometimes with doctors you feel like “just another patient” bug that was not the case with Dr Howard! I didn’t have to wait long in the waiting room or once I was called to the back!

Dr Howard is an outstanding doctor who takes her work seriously and with deducation and caring. My husband and I have seen her for about 15 years and we will Continue to see her because she is through!!

i was having consistent symptoms of nausea, abdominal pain, and acid reflux for about 2 months. I called the K street office to schedule an appointment with Dr, Howard after seeing that she received largely positive reviews online. I was really hoping for a good experience here as I have been in a lot of pain, however, as soon as I walked in the office staff were unprofessional and rude. The wait time was long and the office staff were having loud personal conversations the entire time, barely acknowledging the patients walking in and out. Once I was brought into the exam room, the medical assistant who came in to take my vitals didn't even bother to introduce herself to me or explain what she was doing. In fact, she didn't make eye contact with me the entire time. When Dr. Howard came in, I had been waiting in the exam room for about 25 minutes, which was quite a bit of time in addition to the additional ~25 minutes I had spent in the waiting room before that. Dr. Howard was… extremely abrasive in her bedside manner. When she speaks she almost shouts at you, and I found that she would ask a question and then interrupt me as I started to answer, and all the while seemed to be very impatient and irritated with me. In my experience, (and I'm sure many other's experiences) generally doctors ask you about what symptoms you are having, listen to you explain how you're feeling, ask a few questions and then explain to you their recommendations and what they think could be going wrong. Not only did Dr. Howard give barely any indication that she was listening to me, she immediately prescribed a medication, ultrasound and endoscopy, without explaining what the purpose or benefit of any of these procedures would be in terms of finding out what was ailing me and why they were a necessity. When I inquired, she became irritated and was extremely short with me. I was so taken aback when I went to check out of the office I wasn't really sure I wanted to return. I scheduled one more appointment so I could at least get my blood test results, but after reflecting on the visit and how unprofessional the entire experience was, I decided not to return. It's unsettling enough to think/feel something is internally wrong with you and it's unacceptable for a doctor to make you feel uncomfortable for asking to have comprehensive information from them.
