Edward Joy, MD

Dr. Edward Joy is an excellent doctor and surgeon. Dr. Joy did a full shoulder replacement on my right shoulder last year 2021. And, this year 2022 I'm having my left shoulder replaced by Dr. Joy. Dr. Joy has a great personality that makes you feel like you've known him all your life. He is just like his name says, he is a Joy to know & have him as your surgeon. Excellent.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Joy, his PA, and staff. Dr. Joy listened to me explain about the pain I was having, completed his exam, and then took the time to clearly discuss his diagnosis with recommended treatment options. I was really struggling with significant pain, and after treatment I'm now back to working out. I find it rare to see a doctor that combines such a comforting bedside manner and quality medical care. His staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I am so glad I was referred to him by another physician, and would highly recommend him to my family and friends.

Dr.Joy is the most compassionate Dr. and truly takes time with you ! My self and family have all been taken care my him ! I recommend him to all ALL!

Dr Joy is an expert in shoulder surgery. He performed my reverse total left shoulder replacement. The post-op course was remarkably smooth. While the post-op pain was minimal, after the block wore off it did increase. He quickly saw to adding on the pain medication to keep me pain free. All the healthcare workers he involved in my care were top notch, from the home care RN, home care PT and then later Dan the physical therapist at his office building. He encourages your efforts through physical therapy to return to normal function, which I did.

Dr. Joy is AWESOME. I felt truly cared for, he is extremely knowledgeable, and is just super cool on top of it. His X-Ray tech Carli is also awesome. I can't say enough about the total experience. Thank You!!

Had total reverse shoulder replacement. Dr. Joy is awesome. Answers all your questions and doesn't rush you. Shoulder feels great!!

4 years ago i fell on the stairs my shoulder came out of the socket. went to silver cross hospital and emergency dr. put shoulder back in socket, but i had torn everything in shoulder. referred me to dr. joy. he did surgery and after 6 months of pt i was 99 percent. today 4 years later i am 100 percent! thank you dr. joy!

Dr. Joy shows great compassion for his patient. Spends time with the patient answering all questions. If he can't fix you he will recommend someone who can! He is a great shoulder doc. who is highly recommended by his collegues.
