I have never wrote a negative review before but I had to for this past experience. I have been dealing with my social anxiety for presentations my whole life and been going to a psychologist to receive therapy to try and eliminate my fears. My anxiety only starts during presentations because of my extremely rapid heart beat, and shakey hands. I get so nervous that I will pass out because of how fast and hard my heart is beating. I asked this doctor for a beta blocker for my irrational phobia to public speak because I tried one of my friends who has the same problem as me and when I tried it I finally felt normal again. This doctor told me she doesn’t deal with patients that have anxiety. She told me I should talk to someone about this even though I repeatedly told her I have been seeing a psychologist for a while now about it and that there hasn’t been any progress with my public speaking physical symptoms at school. Then, she tried to prescribe to me a stronger anxiety medication… which I did not want a medicine to rely on, just for speeches and practicals. I am very disappointed that I drove up all of the way from school for her to just basically tell me she doesn’t know anything about medications for anxiety.
