Dr. Elsa Gutierrez, MD

While the Dr is knowledgeable, her time management skills are lacking. After my last appointment being over 90 minutes late, I scheduled a 7AM cancer removal( for which they asked that I arrive at 6:45). The nurse said there was one patient before me. I heard him leave at 7:10. Dr came in to my room at 7:45. No apologies, no excuses. Will find a new dermatologist.

Very unprofessional. Rude office staff. All about charging for follow up visits.

Been to alot of dermatology places this is far the worst all about $$$ not to mention long wait times

Went for annual skin check and would not perform it. Said I had cystic acne from 6ft away. I do not have cystic acne—I’m a licensed aesthetician. At the time of exam, all I had on my face were scars from a previous flair up and milia. I didn’t even go for acne, I went for a skin cancer screening and she made me schedule that 6 weeks from day of my first visit. God help me if I have melanoma or Mohs and am forced to wait 6 weeks. Now I have to find another dermatologist and wait another 3 months for a cancer screening.

Dr. Gutierrez has been consistently professional and caring. I feel she is conservative in her approaches. I have had only good experiences with procedures that ranged from purely cosmetic to skin cancers. She remembers details about me such as my interests.

This physician charged a co-pay for an initial visit as well as a follow up visit for suture removal

Waited over an hour for a routine skin check. No clothing was asked to be removed other than shoes. A hasty and cursory examination of the head and torso was performed (at my insistence). The entire lower body was not examined.

The communication was terrible - and after I called to dispute the bills that added up to $500+ for getting a simple blood blister removed they said they would call me back to discuss. Instead of a phone call they sent me to a collection agency the following week. And on top of all of that...the blood blister looked exactly the same once it healed. Again, I called the doc and she told me it's not her concern if I'm happy with the procedure (exact words) - she's only concerned that I pay my bill. She offered to redo the procedure but I will not go back.

I've been here several times. Some were pleasant others I swore I'd never return. The wait times are ridiculous. One time I almost walked out. She has removed several of my moles. Moles another MD told me were normal. She looked at me like I had two heads when I told her what my other dr stated. Nevertheless I let her remove the moles. Months later and lots of money everything came back fine. I'm very grateful but I don't trusts her. I have several moles and she told me which ones she wanted to remove. When I came back she changed them and removed others. Remember, whether a doctor or not she's usually just giving ghee opinion. It's my belief if I went to three different doctors then I would get three different answers. Remember these people are in business to make money. If we were all healthy they wouldn't be broke.
