Dr. Erma Field Jose, MD

I've kissed a lot of doctor toads, but my first visit to Dr. Erma Jose at Straub Clinic in Windward Mall today was entirely positive. Front desk staff was efficient & friendly. Dr. Jose's lovely medical assistant, Kylie, immediately put me at ease, and clearly explained Straub's website, My Chart, which BTW, is a terrific patient tool. Dr. Jose herself is a gem! She's unhurried, attentive, warm, kind, and clearly addressed my questions & concerns. Besides all that, the clinic has their own lab...easy, breezy!

I've dealt with A LOT of inept doctors before, BUT Dr.Jose is kind, patient, and very supportive. If she was inept in ANY way trust me I wouldn't be her patient. She takes awhile to see you her appointments ALWAYS run late. That would be my only bad score for her.

Because it was mapped to their old office location, I went to the office across the street and was to be three minutes late to fill out paperwork for which we had 15 minutes scheduled. The office staff first pulled up my information. Looked at it, saw that I was military, and then told me that I had to wait another four weeks to get an appointment.

Love Dr. Jose. Excellent skills as a doctor and very caring. Always spends whatever time is necessary and willing to listen to your concerns about meds and will come up with alternative therapies.
