Dr. Pena performed flat foot reconstruction surgery on my son. We were told by two other orthopedic surgeons that the surgery would take hours. Dr. Peña finish the surgery in less than an hour. We were sent home even though our son was in excruciating pain. He suffered for two weeks because every time I called the clinic I was told it was to be expected. He had four incisions on his foot and when they took the cast off they had all opened up due to a massive blood clot in his foot. You could actually see the bone in his heel. Dr. Peña refused to admit there was a problem. Our local orthopedic group did the best they could to try and clear up the infection which had gone into the bone. Sadly, 14 months later our son had to have his lower leg amputated. I filed a complaint with the hospital that the surgery was performed in and still was told that Dr. Pena did nothing wrong. I wish we had read some of these reviews prior to my sons surgery and maybe he would still have his leg.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. He was incredibly rude and arrogant. When he walked in never seeing him before he just plopped in the chair across from me and asked me why are you here. No introduction, no how can I help you. He seemed annoyed that I had the audacity to bother him with my issue. I wonder how much does he get paid for the few minutes he took to examine me and treat me like crap?!?!

Dr. Pena is clear, concise, and to the point. He acts like I want a doctor who may do surgery on me to act. His professionalism and confident knowledge put me at ease. His serious demeanor may put some off, but it puts me at ease knowing he is serious about doing his job. Also he has the best reputation as a foot surgeon in the area.

Arrogant jerk who be doesn't listen to his patients. Rushes out of office with little to no explanation of diagnosis. No regards for patient quality of life. He is very annoyed with office visits. His only interest is surgery itself. Don't ever be later to see this Doctor, he will refuse to see you. He put orders in for procedures on wrong area of my foot. I've seen him four times. Will never see him again.

Late. Horrible bedside manner. Not concerned in assisting with quality of life like he proclaims to. Play through pain until you can't handle it. Then come see me if you can't handle it. Not responsible on so many levels. Do not waste your time with this dr.!

Dr. Pena has provided me an accurate diagnosis, along with treatment options, both surgical an non-surgical. Dr. Pena answered all of my questions regarding my treatment options, leaving me confident in my choice. Surgery was as expected, and have had a full recovery! Highly recommend!!!
