Dr. Frank Robert Kohler JR., DO

Dr. Kohler and his entire staff has been a blessing to my husband. When we moved to Daytona Beach 4 years ago, we dreaded finding new doctors. We came upon his office and we have been treated like family. The office personnel are attentive to us with their promptness. The clinical staff is always available to answer our questions, and speaking with us in times we are in need of any assistance with refills and direction on how to take care of a problem that may have to do with insurance. I can’t say enough about his office. Thank you Endocrinology of Daytona Beach!

Dr. Kohler is very good and very competent and I like him but unfortunately for routine follow up visits for my diabetes I only get to see PAs. There is high turnover so I rarely see the same PA twice. Where this practice seems to drop the ball is on follow up. To get Medicare to pay for a CGM monitor the Doctor or PA needs to send office visit notes to the CGM provider along with the Rx. I specifically told the new PA that I needed this done but once again they dropped the ball. My A1c is suffering because my CGM monitor delivery is delayed—again. I don’t believe I should have to follow up with a doctor after a visit to make sure they did what I paid them to do and I should not have to train new PAs how to do their job. Most of the staff is very nice and the practice has improved greatly since Dr. Kohler took over from Dr. Vera .

I thought he was great. Very laid back. He is very conservative in his treatment which I appreciate. The staff seemed friendly.For me, the doctor and staff were great and I have no complaints. I appreciate his laid back nature and his ability to not "freak out" about my blood sugar numbers. His diagnosis and treatment plan have worked perfectly! For those with complaints about the staff. He does not own the practice and does not control the staff. He is just the doctor. Try to separate the two when providing your review.

Worst practice I've ever been to. Avoid.

Office is decorated so nice and calming. Receptionist was a doll. Attentive and efficient with documents, appointment, questions. My nurse was great!! So nice and professional, asked everything and made feel like I was being heard. Dr Kohler is a sweet man, polite, a gentle soul and answered all my questions. There was a course of action discussed for my treatment which is a great relief. I’m a happy patient.

Dr Frank R Kohler was my Hyper Thyroid Doctor while I was on Active Duty in the US NAVY! from 2003 til 2005 (when I retired from the US NAVY) Dr Kohler was in Practice with Dr. LaRoche in Chesapeake Virginia! He Saved My Life! Thank God for Dr Frank Kohler! I hope I can meet him someday soon to Thank Him for his Work and Amazing Talent! Sincerely Kevin Huefner

I've had nothing but a positive experience with Dr. Kohler and his staff. Everyone is very courteous, wait time is minimal, getting refills is a breeze. The patient portal is very easy to use and the response time is surprisingly quick. I'm very pleased!

Was told that my appointment was confirmed and that i would receive a letter with documents i needed to fill out prior to my visit and also physical directions to get there. Never received none of that only a letter of 100$ no show fee, i only hope he gets his license taken away someday.

Endocrinologists are hard to find and I guess that is why this office stays in business. First off, I asked Dr. Vera a question one time, after the practice had been purchased by a staff member, and the receptionist charged me the cost of a whole visit for asking him a question when he stuck his head out the door into the waiting room. 60.00! I could not believe it. After Dr. Vera retired, whom I liked very much, I was given Dr. Kohler. I have never been in such strange company. He doesn't look at you or interact with you at all. Looks at his computer and gives you your papers to go. I am looking for a new endocrinologist.

The only problem I had was that at check out they gave me papers and never discussed that I had to go for blood work. I had to go thru the papers standing at the desk to see, then the explained the paper work. It would have been 5 if not for this
