Dr. Frank Eugene Scott, DO

This doctor sucks. He just wanted to prescribe the new medications as they came out. I was doing fine on what I was on to begin with. So, I tried another medication and side effects from it. Called the office asked the office Manger to let him know about the side affects. A week later I get paperwork to fill out to get medication free from the company. I didn't fill it out. I went to my appointment and told Dr. Scott about the side effects. Said he never got my message. He told me that I needed to talk with the office manager and straighten things out. Boy did I! I let her have it and made sure everyone in the waiting room heard me. Never went back. You want a good RA doctor, please check out Dr. Sharma in Arroyo Grande! She is excellent and caring!

Confused. I left with more questions than I had when I got there. I am upset still. Staff was no help.

Very detailed doctor. Something that is rare these days

When I asked how much out of pocket I would have to pay for a bone density test, the lady at the front desk said that she didn't handle that and wouldn't know. I asked to transfer me to who would know, and she said that would be billing and they wouldn't know either until the test is performed. It is a fairly simple test, how could they not know? I was promised that the report would be submitted to my doctor in four days and after my follow up, I discovered that they didn't submit it. They said it should have been mailed!! Mailed?! I guess technology didn't reach this office yet. When I asked if I could pick up a copy, the lady who answered the phone said that she didn't have access--only the technician has access to it and she only comes on Tuesdays. So I am assuming that the Dr. doesn't keep copies of tests performed at his office in my record file? Or everyone in the office is too lazy to do anything. This is very disappointing and I wish my insurance would give me the option… of another doctor. Unfortunately I am stuck.

This is the WORST experience Ive ever had with a Dr. He made fun of me, made me cry and told me I wasted his time. He has made at least 5 other WOMEN feel the same way. He is an abuser of his power and position. Please stay away from this person-he is mean, and honestly uneducated. He needs to be FIRED

Was very rude and paid no attention to me. Visit was no more then a minute. Very rushed and very unprofessional.

As our first Rhumatologist, we placed considerable trust in Dr. Scott. After the initial appointment, time spent with the patient was on average 4-6 minutes. There was little if any physical contact with the patient. There was no education whatsoever as to the variety and variability of symptoms of RA. The majority of the appointments were spent looking at Dr. Scott's back while he was at the computer. Even with computer assistance, he rarely had knowledge of tests that were run. Dr. Scott was quickly dismissive when efforts were made to discuss diet, supplements, or exercise. On each occasion, we were handed an RX and shown the door. When Methotrexate was unsuccessful, he quickly said "oh... you need injections". Nothing else. Straight to Embril. No empathy, and frankly little interest. Dr. Scott needs to focus on his lecture business for Big Pharma. He has no interest in the humanity of being a doctor. I cannot imagine how many patients could be doing so much better in… different hands.Caveat Emptor!!

The doctor was rude I was in the room for 30 seconds did not help me I paid 25 dollars for this visit and Im still in pain. Asked me if i was taking the medicine he prescribed I said I couldnt afford It asked if I could have something cheaper? he said see another doctor!

Dr. Scott talked about himself mainly in the beginning of the appointment. He didnt talk too much about me, has his back turned to me most the time, he examined me, ordered blood work told me to come back. I did, he gave me a diagnoses prescribed me a med he didnt know much about, cuz it was new, told me it was up to me if I wanted to take it or not, and if I didnt I had to deal with my problem, and he was out in a flash
