I waited a several months after my last procedure to write this view to give a clear picture of my acne scar improvement. I have suffered from severe and chronic cystic acne for about eight years and subsequently depressed acne scars which greatly affected my emotional state and my quality of life. I would say that my acne scars were mild to moderate, with a severe depressed scar on my forehead. The scars were on my temples, cheeks, and also on my forehead. These are not just the red marks that people call scars, but instead I had actual depressed holes on my face, ranging from mild to severe. Dr. Ringpfeil and Dr. Abraham were initially able to get rid of the acne. That was the first step. Dr. Ringpfeil was then able successfully improve my acne scars to the point where I no longer feel self-conscious about them and I was able to pursue a new job in which I am not working from home because I finally felt confident enough to do so. While I was looking for a doctor to treat my scars,… I did a lot of research, and made appointments at many different places. I had previously done Infini with subcision and filler with a doctor in New York City and did see improvement in my scars. I then completed two more Infini treatments with the aesthetician at Ringpfeil Advanced Dermatology and a session of filler with Dr. Ringpfeil. I can say that my acne scars are 90% improved and some scars have disappeared completely. I know that I will need to keep up with the filler potentially forever. I’ve learned a lot over the years during this process. Acne scar treatment is a process and you are not going to find one procedure to immediately make your skin smooth and restore your skin to its pre-acne state. This process has taken me years to achieve skin that I feel confident with. You have to be realistic about your expectations. I can honestly say that Dr. Ringpfeil has restored my confidence in myself overall, not just in the way that I look. I no longer feel afraid to look people in the eyes. Thank you, Dr. Ringpfeil.
