Dr. George Alan Charnock, MD

Lazy and rude.

I have been going to Dr. Charnock for 20 years. He is truly a caring and smart man. He saved my life when I needed emergency Gallbladder surgery and it was because he was quick to diagnose the problem. He is truly one of the best Internal Medicine Doctors around. I can't say enough. He always puts my mind at ease.

Cognitive difficulties reading labwork from an unfamiliar lab, insulting, condescending, gives out dated nutritional advice. I am very concerned that his medical knowledge and the protocols he follows are 20 or 30 years out of date like his nutritional knowledge.

Usually a long wait - 45 minutes, but I've never met a more knowledgeable endo. In fact, many times Dr Charnock is delayed because he handles so many calls from other doctors at the hospital in regards to their patients including patients who are in surgery

Ive seen Dr.Charnock for many years. I absolutely love him! He is extremely honest, & to the point, does not "sugar" coat things. Although you may often times wait past your appt, he ALWAYS spends the appropriate time with you & addresses your needs. I don't care much for the office staff "gossiping", or that they are sometimes rude to him, either to his face or behind his back, I feel that is dis-respectful, however, they have ALWAYS been nice & professional with me & always accommodating to my needs. I would absolutely recommend him & his office to anyone!

As another reviewer posted, Dr. Charnock is a man of integrity and honesty. I, too, have seen him get on the phone when I was very sick and demand that a specialist see me sooner. You won't find too many no nonsense straight shooters out there like this fine professional. I have been seeing him as my general doctor for about 20 years because I want someone to tell me the truth. He is a compassionate ethical man who is not just another medical huckster with a fake toothy smile, of which there are many.

Dr. Charnock has been my family GP for over 25 years!I feel compelled to comment on Dr. Charnock's qualifications, not only because of my 25 years as his patient, but because in 2007, Dr. Charnock saved my life with an early diagnosis of Thyroid cancer!He is an articulate, intelligent, knowledgable, thorough, consummate professional, who has passionately practiced medicine for his entire adult life.While I can appreciate how some patients may find his no nonsense, straight ahead bedside manner difficult,in the time I have known Dr. Charnock, I have NEVER questioned a diagnosis, a course of treatment, his character or his commitment to the Hippocratic Oath!His determination to give the best care possible is demonstrated in his LONG hours and his tireless pursuit of quality care for his patients, not only by his own hands, but those of his fellow care givers!I would encourage anyone seeking a competent care giver, to give Dr. Charnock their full consideration!

Dr. Charnock is an old school doctor and that is a compliment. He is a man of integrity and honesty. I have seen this man get on his phone to call another specialist and redress the person at that office who postponed my appointment and told her that I needed to be seen promptly. He will be upfront with his patients and that is exactly what I want from a doctor. He is a man of impeccable character and caring.

I just felt as if doctor charnock prolonged my number of visits. He never has an answer for me during the 2 years I have been visiting. Every visit he just sends me to get the same lab tests & the results always come back the same with my diagnosis. He is never accurate & I feel like it's a waste of my time. I always feel rushed out of my visit. Not Going Back!!!

Dr. Charnock has always spent as much time with me as I have needed. I find him to be a thorough, knowledgeable, and direct "to the point" doctor.He has changed his office staff in the last 6-9 months. They are nicer than the previous staff he had. Although, I didn't have a problem with the previous people.
