Dr. Gerald Edward Lynch, MD

I had a port placement and he told me that he would call my mother to let her know how the procedure went when he was finished. He never called my mother and I had to call his office to find out he went through my jugular vein to connect the port! That was why I couldn't move my neck much for a week afterwards. Consistent follow up would have been nice. Other than that, he seems friendly enough but his front desk office staff at the Oak Park location is not friendly at all.

Excellent surgeon, excellent credentials. Went to top schools, loads of experience.

I went to see Dr. Lynch after being in the ER and getting an ultrasound for abdominal pain. Without doing any further tests or even physically examining me, he told me to come in the next morning to have my gallbladder removed. Both of my parents are doctors and this alarmed them greatly so they told me to get another opinion before getting this surgery. I went to another doctor for a second opinion and there was nothing wrong with my gallbladder. Dr. Lynch would have removed it for no reason!!!

I liked Dr. Lynch. He is very professional but, also personable. He has excellent credentials and I was satisfied with my surgery and his care. My biggest complaint is his office staff and this is the reason for 4 stars. They are indifferent bordering on rude and snippy especially the person at the front desk. I question whether they should be allowed around sick people and, I just wonder if Dr. Lynch realizes what they are like as I am certain he is never treated in that manner.

Dr. Lynch is very knowlegable and caring Surgeon. I trust him with my life.
