Impatience after being behind

I've had a very good experience with Dr. Waskin and his wife Megan. Both are kind and caring, in fact, everyone in their office is. I hate going to doctors, but they always make me feel safe and comfortable, and anytime I've needed them they took me in right away. I highly recommend them.

Having bad stomach pains and went to office and was told my office staff if he didn’t have an appointment he could not be seen. That other patients in office had appointments and he could not be seen. This office is not there when you need it. Neither is dr Waskin. 2 years ago went to hospital and called the office and told them. Dr never called and afterwards said nobody in office told him I was in hospital. Not dependable.

Another frustrated DO that couldn’t get into an MD program. This man was yelling obscenities to what I’m assuming is hospital staff because he couldn’t hear at a dolphins game. F-bombs and even asked the caller if they are “f***ing retarded” he ended up hanging up...leaving no orders for the patient. If I was a patient I wouldn’t want a doctor forgetting about me because he got frustrated. At the end the patient was who suffered here. His wife ended up having to call and put in the orders...I hope she’s a licensed medical professional that is able to put in orders for a patient. Beware. Nasty angry man who does not put the patient first.

He seemed overwhelmed when I saw him, and confused by the medication I was taking. Perhaps he doesn't have a full grasp of pharmacology beyond the medications he uses frequently. My last two PCPs prior to him had me on a particular medication that Dr. Waskin sent me to a specialist for, because apparently Dr. Waskin himself wasn't comfortable prescribing it. He also seemed slow to wrap his head around my medical history. Maybe not the "sharpest crayon in the box".

Recently moved to Pompano Beach. I was looking for a new primary. My neighbor had highly recommended Dr. Waskin. I was not disappointed. Dr. Waskin was very thorough. He listened to my concerns and set up a plan of care. I could not have had a better experience seeing the doctor! I would highly recommend him.

Abandoned as a patient of Dr.Waskin.Told I was no longer under his care without any prior notification or justification.Very unprofessional and life threatening.

No joke, his office staff is terrible. They are more concerned about getting out of work then there are with helping patients. Makes for a very poor experience.

The Office staff is the worst I have ever in my life been exposed to. They have no manners & I'd quite certain they do not care about their patience. Getting a referral is impossible. They say that the referral has been faxed & numerous times I was waiting for at least a 1/2 hr. at my appointment. Then I would physically go and pick up referral and take it to my appointment. Waskin would not prescribe either a walker or wheel chair after my hip replacement operation because he said I should be up walking. My Sergent didn't want me to put weight on my left leg until he saw me after my operation. I ended up getting a chair & walker from a friend. Waskin has no bedside manner....I found him crude.

Always available and the staff is very nice.
