Dr. Gurjeev Rattan, DO

I didn't expect to like Dr. Rattan the first time I met him as he was replacing a doctor I had been seeing for a while and really liked. But I found him to be caring, professional and quite knowledgeable. Not only that but he has a great attitude and a smile to go with it. He's been working with me to find something that will help me lower my A1c, and help me take some weight off which will help immensely. When I came to him I was very depressed and was just ready to take the usual "try harder talk" and go home. This time it was different. He believed me when I said I couldn't seem to get the weight off no matter what I did. He offered me a different medication regimen and some of the weight (15 lbs) has come off and pretty much stayed off. My A1c has dropped and I seem to be holding my own. We just added something new and we'll see how that goes. I don't dread going to see my endocrinologist, because I don't have to come up with a cover story as to why I haven't done… better. I just tell the truth.

Dr. Rattan is thorough and very serious about ensuring that your health and care are the best. Dr. Rattan is realistic about the fact that the patient must do his or her part in their health and well being, and as such, a patient who is not prepared to do their part in their care is not coddled by Dr. Rattan, and in fact is told that if he or she can't do their part in the care plan and personal health, then Dr. Rattan cannot continue to serve as their physician. I very much like this transparency and honesty from Dr. Rattan, and appreciate the depth of his concern to motivate me towards wellness and sustained qualify of life through his excellent medical care. His response time for all my questions via email is within few minutes.
