I went to the office for what I thought would be a routine MRI of my pelvis. I waited 20 min only because I got there early. "Sue" + "Fran" got me set up and Dr Dhillon came in the room to start my IV. I was impressed from the start. He made direct eye contact, shook my hand and introduced himself. Then he left the room. Fran + Sue were wonderful. They explained everything BEFORE they did it so there were no surprises. I was told that my arm would feel cool once the injection started. That didn't happen - instead I felt a very definite BURNING sensation in my abdomen. After a few min my arms + legs started itching but I felt like I was itching from the INSIDE OUT! Then a couple min after that I had the urge to cough. It took every bit of stamina I had to hold still for the scans! When I was brought out I said "I'm itching". Sue said "where"? I said "my arms + legs". I had hives - then I started coughing and I had trouble speaking - the voice coming out didn't sound like me! They got… a gurney - gave me an IV shot of Benadryl - which almost made me pass out - and then Dr Dhillon, Sue + Fran watched me and cared for me with such compassion + concern that I will never ever again go anywhere for an MRI but THERE - WITH THEM. They watched me for about 2 hours before finally letting me go home. I couldn't express my Thanks for all that they did for me. I felt very safe and in good hands.
